I stumbled upon the most stunning prints yesterday and just had to share. These watercolors titled Green Zen I + II were inspired by Buddha hands from Tibetan sculpture and medieval European religious paintings. Graphic designer and illustrator Andrea D’Aquino of New York is the genius behind this ethereal set.

Sold as a pair and describe as one being of the woman and the other of the inside of the woman. The colors are just stunning and I love the juxtaposition of the two.

The limited edition prints are sold through The Working Proof which is a site that pairs artists with a charity of their choice, to which 15% of  sales are donated. Andrea has chosen to work with the Shama Foundation which is a nonprofit organization providing education to children of Madagascar. Find out more and purchase them here.

I was so delighted to discover They Draw and Cook recently! It’s a clever site that posts a new illustrated recipe everyday from artists all around the world. The recipes vary in their complexity but if you love art and enjoy to cook, this is a great read for everyday. Cheers!

I never tire of Gemma Correll’s work (and hopefully neither do you since I like to post about it)! Her latest piece of brilliance is a limited run ampersand illustration. Printed by the skilled folks at Blush in London, they’ve done an amazing job with the letterpressing and getting every last detail to show perfectly. I am beyond in love with these charming prints from Mint Parcel. Amy is the artist behind them and was kind enough to send me a link to her site and shop. She does such a great job giving life to her illustrations all while using simple geometric shapes. Cute doesn’t even begin to describe her work, I mean anyone who can make an octopus look huggable has serious talent.  Make sure to check out more of her work on her site along with her shop and blog!

I spotted these illustrations on ffffound last week and it struck me as so carefree and sweet that I had to post them. These images are completely computer generated from an original photograph by creating a mosaic using a modified digital program.
