You know when you see something so sweet you wish you could literally climb through your screen to get a taste? No, I’m not talking about Tim Riggins but you get the idea (wink!) Well this identity and beautiful packaging for Pandora Bell leaves me light headed!

Pandora Bell is a premium confectionary brand located in Ireland. Studio Output was tasked with creating a sophisticated identity for the small brand which was inspired by vintage packaging. Modern finishes were used in order to contemporize the system. I particularly adore the creative use of patterns and the versatility of the logo. Tasty in every possible way!

urbanINFLUENCE did a spectacular job on this identity package for the New Sheridan Hotel. The use of rich textures and ornate patterns bring the charm of a turn of the century to a hotel of today. I think the paper cups are my favorite, the look is so unexpected and elegant! Located in Telluride, CO, the New Sheridan just exudes history, make sure to stop by if you’re ever in the area.

This identity for Claridge’s Luxury Hotel is the epitome of a well branded company. I love the combination of the bright teal and gold with the stark black and white. There’s a perfect mix of classic sophistication juxtaposed with a bold modern simplicity. The use of bold patterns on the wrapping paper, the pencils and the envelope liner is executed brilliantly. This beautiful system was designed by Construct, a design boutique in London and more of their fantastic work can be seen on their site and blog.

I’m totally smitten by the work of Celeste Prevost for the FreshSimple Café in Brooklyn. I love how she took a pattern and repurposes it for each piece, they work together yet each find a way to stand on  their own. I especially love the printing on the inside of the bag and the coffee cups.

Also, a fun fact, after reading this great article, I found out Celeste is married to the man behind Lifter Baron. That might sound familiar because I blogged about his work for 3 Little Birds almost a year ago! Talk about a talented couple!

I spotted this a while back on the always wonderful Graphic-ExchanGE. Transformer’s identity concept for a Moscow cafe is completely stunning. Just look at that place setting, it takes my breath away! All the elements work so well together, and I love how they’ve combined earth tones with bright silvers, so chic! Everything looks so rich and clean at the same time. Oh how I wish I weren’t 5000 miles away!

Okay, I’m just going to get it out of the way; the name is really unfortunate but the packaging more than makes up for it! This identity package for the Japanese restaurant Chicken Pecker, by Commune, feels so fresh and healthy. My favorite are the napkins, I have no idea what it says but I like to think it reads: EAT THIS CHICKEN IT IS TASTY AND DELICIOUS, NOM! NOM! NOM!

The napkin says like this:

I guess that we have met before.

Thing that we can use, we use that.
We can’t waste papers either trees.
Japan produces more than 30 billion milk cartons a year.
Those cartons for liquid are used high rank pulp.
We can’t recycle food but we, Chicken Pecker, recycle other things around food. In spite of that seems small thing but we walk steady.

I was walking by a coworker’s desk Friday when a promo from Heidi Chisholm stopped me in my tracks! Her portfolio is fantastic and she has a unique understanding of the users experience.This identity package for France Production is only one example of her impressive work. This one in particular sends my heart aflutter, the pop up card, the envelope scalloped to an inch of it’s life, the illustrations and photography, it’s all too perfect! Make sure to visit her site for more, you won’t regret it!

I just can’t get enough of this identity system for Flink by Me & Mister Jones. That invoice is to die for, it makes me want to redo mine! I love that they use a ton of different patterns and shapes yet it all still works together. Very well done!

I’m smitten with this logo and identity package for Hungry Elephant by Arlo. It’s both playful and sophisticated and I’m always a sucker for magenta and gray, I love that they whet the extra mile and printed the envelopes on the inside as well. From their website it doesn’t appear that Hungry Elephant is using these any more, which is a shame, it’s sad to see such great design retired.

This is a cool new trend I’ve been noticing: Tape as a design element. I particularly love this because it’s both functional AND cool! Here is an wonderful example of incorporating the tape into a broader design. This is from a great Norwegian design frim called Heydays.
