Ever since the Kate Spade party at Alt, I’ve developed an affinity towards chunky black eye wear. While I’m not personally chic enough to pull the look off, I am still drawn to the bold graphic aesthetic this trend embodies.

Hence my love for the Envision Eyewear Identity and stationary system. I spotted this lovely collection on designworklife last month and keep going back to it. Sussner Design in Minneapolis is responsible for this clever suite. I love, love, LOVE the mix of pattern and clever crops!

I am completely enamored with the identity and design of Easy Bistro  & Bar, a French and New Orleans restaurant in Chattanooga Tennessee. The project was a collaboration between Widgets & Stone and Maycreate Idea Group and the result is simply spectacular. The translation of the graphic elements to the environment is just impeccably executed and solidifies the impact of the brand.

A fantastic identity system for the restaurant Julian in Kansas City by Jordan Gray Creative. Named after the chef Celina Tio’s favorite cooks, her grandfather Julian and Julia Child; I’m completely inspired by the clever use of iconography pared with the refined type. The color palette  is equally appealing and the materials evoke a natural yet sophisticated feel.

I ran across this branding program for chefBURGER by the the talented Tad Carpenter. The burger men are beyond cute and I love how he managed to work plaid into an otherwise contemporary design. You can tell by all the little details that he put his heart into this project. My favorite is the paper the burgers are wrapped in, brilliant! Be sure to check out the rest of Tad’s site, it doesn’t disappoint!
