Photographer Crush: Ditte Isager

Wednesday, June 29th, 2011

My friend Ali introduced me to photographer Ditte Isager recently and to my surprise I recognized a lot of her work from my countless Martha Stewart magazines. Some of her most recent work can be seen in the Poppy Love article in the May Issue of Living.

The saturated tones and playful sense of scale is stunning and so ethereal. I adore Ditte’s work and you should definitely check out her extensive portfolio if you get a chance. Inspiration galore!

Gingham By the Roll!

Monday, June 27th, 2011

How cool/genius is this?! Tear off gingham napkins that are not only adorable and handy but sustainable too! These bad boys are made of cotton and can be thrown in the wash to be used again and again.

I seriously need to get some of these for summer! The one in the image above can be found at Cox & Cox in the UK but for those of you state side, they’re available at Neiman Marcus in red, blue or brown.

I fell in love with this room by Live Creating Yourself while looking at inspiration for our office remodel. Everything is so perfect right down to the screensaver. Download it for free here!

Geronimo!

Wednesday, June 22nd, 2011

Spotted the work of the Geronimo Balloon-Troopers at the Portland Summer School event over the weekend and had to share these images from their photo gallery. I love the colors and combination of shimmering gold with the pale pink and yellows. Pretty, pretty!

Summer School: Portland!

Monday, June 20th, 2011

Hi lovlies and happy Monday! I had the pleasure of attending Summer School in Portland this weekend where I took a flower arranging class from Chelsea of {Frolic}. This was my first ever floral class and I was excited to learn how she creates her relaxed fresh flower arrangements.

I can assure you that making something look so simple and effortless is really quite the oposite. I picked up some great tips and basics for floral arranging but I no doubt need more practice. Above are some pics of the event and my final bouquet. I can’t wait to experiment and develop some skills and hopefully share as I go.

Chelsea was sweet as always and I got to see other friends as well as meet new ones. I even shared a table with Lillian of Unstitched, Grace of Design*Sponge and Katy from Katy Elliot. Such a talented and fun group and a great way to spend the weekend!
