A Jam & Tea Bridal Shower

Friday, March 4th, 2011

It’s a shame that now days the first thing you think of when you hear “Tea Party” isn’t actually a tea party. Well, in an effort to take back the term, I present to you a tea party hosted by the talented Alison Iven! A friend forwarded me the link and it was such a joy looking at all the details, I especially love the recipe cards and the labels for the homemade jam!

See more shower pics and browse the rest of Alison’s lovely portfolio here. Thanks Jessica!

Book photos: Graytor Printing via Felt & Wire via Wit +Delight

One of my favorite experiences from Alt 2011 was the Kate Spade after party. After camping out for over an hour (yes, sadly, I was one of those people) I was one of 50 that received a Kate Spade goodie bag. While the goodie bag was a little disappointing for the hype, it did include a little brand book titled “Thinks We Love” which made it totally worth the wait!

Meant to be a peak into the Kate Spade world and what inspires the creative team behind the brand, this piece is trully a designers dream! My little book of awsome now lives prominetly on my desk, with it’s gold foils, striking photographs and a series of tip-ons, it’s such a sweet gem. It even boasts a real cookie fortune and a post-applied strip of tape, but my favorite detail has to be the spread of peonies and gold confetti! Love!

I’ve been meaning to photograph the book and share it with all of you but luckily I spotted this image on Pinterest and I discovered these lovely shots have already been taken. Through the link, I found this fantastic interview on Felt & Wire about the creative and printing process surrounding the book. Be sure to click on over to see more spreads and get a dose of  inspiration for yourself!
