Explosions in the Sky Poster
June 30th, 2010While not technically a 4th of July project, Micah Max‘s poster for Explosions in the Sky certainly feels festive! Especially clever is the use of Japanese masking tape for the firecrackers. Also in Micah’s own words, the long fused fireworks “…represent the band’s ability to go from quiet, shimmering beauty to bold, loud passages in an instant.” Lovely.

Simple but gorgeous! I would never have known it was tape, and I love the third dimension it adds.
