Valentine’s Day Round Up

Thursday, February 11th, 2010

I got to an early start for Valentine’s Day here on T&T this year so it feels like it’s been the longest holiday ever! With that said, I have been so impressed with the plethora of amazing and creative crafts just for the occassion so I thought I’d share a few of my favorites.

Chocolate Strawberry Sandwiches by Lisa Wong Jackson of Good On Paper as seen on Mint. Yummers!

Love Chart Pouch from Inkbloom as seen on One Pretty Thing

Candy Orchard CD Packaging Kit by Ayako Akazawa of Chronicle Books

Conversation Candy Bar Wrappers from the lovely ladies at Nice Package

Love Coupon Matchbooks by Rachel of Benign Objects via Elephantine

My favorite starting point for ALL things craft, One Pretty Thing, has countless sources of other inspiration. Be sure to click on over and feast your eyes on all the goodies!

Rita’s Living Room

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010

This has to be one of the coolest things I’ve seen in a while. This installation was made entirely from wood and constructed to represent a typical Québec living room based on a mix of styles and influences. Created by Rita, a design agency in Canada that specialize in both graphic and object design. I love the details and iconographic representations of each piece and I wish I had a miniature doll house that looked just like this.

New Sponsor: Hello! Lucky

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010

I’m happy to announce a new sponsor today, please welcome Hello! Lucky, makers of wonderful letterpress cards and stationary. I’ve been a fan of theirs since, well, just about forever! As a matter of fact, my second post on Twig & Thistle featured them as one of my top 5 letterpress design sites. Also, be sure to check out their adorable selection of Valentine’s Day cards, above are two of my favorites; they’ve got something for everyone – the romantic, the new couple, or the crush.

Well Branded: H&M Gift Packaging

Tuesday, February 9th, 2010

This adorable gift packaging was designed by BVD in 2004 for H&M, Sweden’s famous clothing store. Though no longer in print, I find this series completly charming and they’d make for some seriously sweet containers for Valentine’s Day gifts.

Rose Clips

Monday, February 8th, 2010

Aren’t these the most adorable barrettes you’ve ever seen?! I spotted this tutorial over on The Purl Bee and had to take note. Complete with thorough step-by-step instructions and fantastic photographs, this is one craft we could all learn how to do. I’ll hopefully be sporting one of these in my own hair soon!
