i love jewelry, so it’s hard to pick which piece is my favorite. maybe a pair of earrings i bought in cusco, peru, because they’re gorgeous and they remind me of that trip. or the earrings in bought last year in split, croatia – same reason. or maybe it’s the pair of big gaudy yellow clip-on earrings that i snitched from my grandmother’s jewelry box when i was 6 and thought they were The Most Beautiful Things in the World. :)

  2. Rachelle S. Says:

My favorite piece is by far the James Avery charm bracelet that I got at my last shower. It has my new initials on it as the only 3 charms right now. I’m planning on wearing it at the wedding!!!

  3. Suzanne@threepeats Says:

My mother’s charm bracelet….laden with charms she selected or was given as gifts over decades… a tiny dollar bill folded up in case she needed “mad money”, an ice skate (my favorite sport as a child), calendars with her wedding anniversary marked on one and my birthday on the other, a telephone (not sure of the significance of that one) etc. I love the sound it makes when I wear it. It reminds me of my mother and her delicate elegance.

  4. Mary Cyrus Says:

Although my gorgeous wedding band with subtle celtic knotwork is the obvious answer, another contender is my grandmother’s bracelet. It’s not one I particularly recall her ever wearing. It’s just a bit of “junk” jewelry. As one of dozens of grandchildren (not to mention great-grandchildren), it’s one of very few possessions that made its way to me when she passed away 5 years ago. When I received it, the beads were painted to resemble pearls, and it sported a green patina on the gold-hued metal. In cleaning it up for my wedding, the patina and the pearlescent paint both went away, but the clear glass beads left behind are equally pretty. It felt so-very-right to wear my namesake’s jewelry on my wedding day. I feel a little closer to her every time I wear it. She would have been 100 last week.

    Here’s a photo of my bracelet: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_lZZ7ym8wHNg/ShpJGYFeS-I/AAAAAAAAAX0/eH22j27CU3I/s1600-h/IMG_2820.jpg

my new diamond ring which hubby got me for my 30th. it was to replace the original wedding ring he bought me.

can i just say i love vintage pearl!!..her jewelry is amazing.

  7. Janine Says:

My favorite pearl ring comes from a tiny shop in Florence Italy. I found the shop by way of a branding meeting in Seattle. The woman facilitating was wearing the most fabulous ring. I am sure I didnt hear a thing she said, I was transfixed on her ring. At the end of the meeting, I rushed up to find out where she got it. She reached into her bag and pulled out the most beautiful hand writted wax stamped card with the address of the shop on it. Soon, I was in Italy and wandering the narrow streets looking for a shop the size of a closet. As if part of a club, I asked to see the jewelry that was not displayed. On the small velvet tray I saw my ring. Now, when I wear it, someone always rushes up to ask me where I got my ring.

  8. Melanie Says:

My favorite pieces are a sweet pair of earrings and bracelet my husband had delivered to me on the morning of our wedding. :)

  9. Amanda Says:

OOPS! I read the directions wrong! My current favorite piece of jewelry I have is the silver heart locket that my 3 year old daughter picked out for me this Christmas. She told hubby “I want to get mommy a heart for Christmas” and I am in love with the heart she picked out. Best of all there is a picture of my two loves in it – my little Maddie and her most wonderful daddy!

  10. Cassie Says:

My favourite piece is the mother of pearl earrings or the copper heart charm or maybe a cup of love necklace – how to choose! It is a beautiful shop filled with gorgeous items.
    xx

  11. Christine Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is the diamond necklace my husband gave me as a “thank you” for birthing our son. Every time I where it I think of my two favorite boys.

  12. Anna Says:

The one I liked the most is the golden bracelet I got at birth. Unfortunuately, I lost it when I was about 20 in our local swimming pool :( . My favourite item of jewelry I actually own is my wedding ring. Boring, I know, but it’s true :) . It’s in simple unpolished white gold, no stone.

  13. Simone Says:

My favourite piece of jewellery is a simple silver starfish pendant that my father gave me – I love its simplicity, and all the things it means to me.
The vintage pearl is fantastic, amazing work!

  14. Eric Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry? Why my jolly roger mood ring, of course! It always tells me just how piratey I feel.

  15. Elissa C. Says:

My TMOD “cuprocking” necklace that’s silver-plated little cups (like crumpled disposable plastic cups), part of the “Poetry in Braille” collection. http://www.anewmuse.net/2009/04/tmodandy-uprock.html (TMOD have an awesome website too.)

  16. Crystal Sawyer Says:

    My wedding ring!

  17. Cass Says:

I have a wooden ring that I adore … LOVE wearing it!

  18. Jessie Says:

My favorite pierce of jewelry that I own is an heirloom, vintage English sterling silver charm bracelet. I rarely wear it for fear of losing it (the safety chain was gone before I got it), but it’s spectacular. My favorite charm on it is a tiny, heavy piggy bank with a wee penny hooked on. The penny is engraved “a penny saved is a penny earned.” Love it :)

  19. Ivana Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry at the moment: a cheap metal ring with a sort of medallion attached to it: inside it is a small preserved flower. I saw it in a store while shopping for a birthday gift for a friend, I went away and returned half an hour later… I just had to have it! I think it makes my hand look aristocratic : )

  20. tessarh Says:

    My wedding ring! ♥♥

  26. Tammy Says:

My favorite piece of jewelery, besides my wedding ring, would be the pearls that once belonged to my mother-in-law. They make me feel connected to her.
    This looks great, too. Thanks!

  27. Catherine Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is a tie – my wedding ring, obviously. But I also have a silver charm bracelet (with just one charm) that my mom was given for her 16th birthday. I love it.

  28. Julie Says:

My father gave me a pearl necklace and earrings for my 21st birthday. Hands down — still my favorite! Classic, sophisticated…you can’t go wrong with pearls.

  29. Gretchen Says:

my favorite piece is a necklace that has four charms on it. One is a small diamond that my father bought for me before our estrangement, the second is a little gold cross from my grandmother, the third is a little round locket that was my mother’s, the fourth is this little arm/fist that my grandfather used to wear.

  30. Melissa Says:

My favorite is a heavy sterling link bracelet that belonged to my mother.

  31. Tong Says:

My favourite piece of jewelery is a pair of diamond earrings my boyfriend got me from the Tiffany flagship store when we were in New York 2 years go, and they were a surprise gift too!

Thanks for the giveaway, it’s great!!

  32. KimberlyH Says:

You’re right! Erin’s jewelry is stunning- what a talent!

My favorite piece of jewelry right now is my “St. John’s hook” bracelet that I got on my honeymoon last summer. It’s my busy season for work right now so I wear it everyday so that when things get stressful I can look down and remember how amazing and relaxing it was on our honeymoon! It always puts the smile back on my face. The story behind the design of the bracelet is also my favorite- I can’t remember it all but basically the story is that a poor fisherman fell in love and wanted to give something to his love to display to the world that they were devoted to eachother, so he went into his tackle box and took some fishing wire and a hook, and tied the wire around the hook, which he bent to create a bracelet. He gave one bracelet to his love and wore one himself, with the hook facing in to his heart to show to the world that he is taken! I thought the story was so sweet and perfect as a honeymoon momento :)

  33. Chelsea Says:

My favorite piece of jewelery besides my lovely wedding ring would be my big silver earrings. If I am having an “ugly” day, I put these babies on and they make everything all better. Love them!

  34. Jamie Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is a ring my dad gave me as a little girl. At the time it fit my thumb, now its moved on to my pinky. It’s not fashionable, but I love it.

  35. Ally C Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is my grandmothers weddings ring. As I’m embarking on that chapter of my life, it’s great to see how my grandparents were at my age. Her ring is so timeless and beautiful. I will be wearing it on my right hand when I get married.

  36. elaine Says:

2 favorites: necklace with my daughters’ names on it, and a solid jade bracelet that belonged to my husbands grandmother.

  37. Nikki Says:

My favourite piece of jewellery is a Tiffany silver key on a very sturdy silver chain. I love the simplicity of it, and my 7.5-month-old daughter loves it too. I wear it when I know we’ll be out and about because she’ll sit on my lap and play with it for quite some time (hence the sturdy chain). It was a thank-you gift from my sister for her baby shower, and my 6-year-old son helped her pick it out. His comment? “Mom, did you know that everyone in Tiffanys wears suits? It’s really fancy!” Indeed.

  38. Laura Says:

I love my engagement ring :-)

  39. Sarah M. Says:

It’s so hard to choose, but I do love the small silver starfish necklace that my hubby gave me for my birthday a few years ago. It’s very sweet and dainty :)

  40. Agape Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is, without a doubt, the antique double strand of pearls that my mom gave to me! After all the years, she decided to give them to me when I started graduate school. I’ve always loved pearls and this set was so special. Not only did they mark another big transition and accomplishment but the fact that she waited to give them to me at a time when I could truly appreciate them was so meaningful!

  41. Crystal N Says:

I’m loving a white gold delicate key charm with tiny diamonds that I got before Christmas for a really good price. I’ve always LOVED keys and locks and was inspired by the lovely keys that Tiffany’s has made popular again.

  42. Ruth Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is an antique gold Russian cross pendant given to me by my brother a few Christmases ago. Back in high school, he was working a landscaping job and found a different cross pendant on the ground… an amazing silver cross with English on the front and Braille on the back. He gave it to me and a couple years later we were in San Francisco together when a homeless man we were talking with told me how much he admired my necklace. My brother whispered to me and asked if I’d be willing to let it go… I felt really reluctant but had no reason to say no. Fast forward 8 years, I don’t remember if we’d ever talked about it but I think my brother knew I had been a sad to let it go. I opened my Christmas gift from him and his wife and it was this beautiful antique cross to replace the one I gave away! Not only is the cross beautiful, but it’s even more special knowing it was such an unexpected and extremely thoughtful gift.

  43. Stacy Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry are my small fresh water pearl earrings. A gift from my great grandma – they are both sentimental and beautifully simple. They match almost anything I wear – from a casual sweater to an elegant black dress.

  44. Megan S. Says:

It’s a toss up between my antique 1928 wedding ring with a beautiful embossed design and the James Avery dove necklace that my Dad got me for my 16th birthday… I love them both!

  45. Crystal & Co Says:

Oh, I’ve had my eye on a Vintage Pearl necklace for a while…. wink, wink.

My favorite piece of jewelry that I own, would be my Grandmother’s wedding band.

  46. Kelaine Says:

My favorite jewelry that I own is my wedding jewelry. I am marrying my best friend in October, but I have had this jewelry since I was about 18. I found it at a local gallery when I was 15, and told my mom it was what I wanted to wear when I got married. I would go back and look at it as often as I could, and on Christmas day when I was 18, my mom surprised me with the necklace and matching earrings. It was almost 4 years later when I met the man I would be marrying. The jewelry is matte green metal leaves with tiny fresh water pearls peppered throughout. Simple, but unique…hopefully just like our wedding will be. I am so looking forward to being able to wear it on a regular basis after the wedding!
    Thanks for the great giveaway!

  47. Shelly Says:

My favorite, never leave home without jewelry…I have two chains signifying the 3 most significant relationships in my life – a cross (God), a locket (daughter) and Italian corno (husband).

  48. Amy Says:

I feel obligated to say my engagement ring but I also really love my set of pearl earrings my mom bought for me.

  49. Marly Says:

I love my gold cross necklace that my parents gave me for my 1st Communion. I almost never take it off!

  50. Kim Hopkins Says:

    Definately my engagement ring…very sparkly!

  51. jenna Says:

the gingko leaf earrings with a pearl that I wore at my wedding.

  52. Danielle Says:

Well my favorite piece of jewelry would have to be my wedding rings but I also love the tiny pearl necklace I’ve had since I was a child.

  53. Kiley Says:

My great grandfathers cuff links. I never knew him, but I love imagining all the events he wore them too and all the stories they heard while in my grandmothers jewelry box.

  54. Marjorie K Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is my silver watch. It is the watch band that I love as I have had to replace the watch itself at least once, but have been wearing it for about 10 years.

  55. Rebekah Says:

Perhaps cliche, but it is my engagement ring. My partner and I both wear engagement rings. He is an astrophysicist building a telescope and I work in a church full time with kids and youth. The “joke” is that we both talk about the heavens, just in different ways.

We are not very traditional in many senses, so we wanted my ring especially to reflect that. The ring isn’t especially expensive (it was actually less expensive than his) and is fairly small. It is a band of small diamonds with an open silver band crossing above and below, marked with a small diamond at the ends. We chose it because it looked almost like a galaxy resting on my finger.

(And to match, his ring is made of titanium — the same material as the Space Shuttle.)

  56. Laurie Says:

my “pearl set” from my grandparents.

  57. Sarah S. Says:

My engagement ring is my favorite piece of jewelry. My husband designed it, so it’s even more special to me!

  58. raychel Says:

My favourite piece of jewelery other than my engagement and wedding rings, is a necklace from my grandmother. It’s a silver chain with a dutch pendant that she received from her Father when he went to war. It’s very old and I never wear it anymore, but it’s hung in a shadow box along with other old items from her. I absolutely LOVE it and knowing the history behind it makes it the most special, favourite piece of jewelery I own.

  59. Kathleen Says:

Hmmmm I think my favorite piece of jewelry is an opal birthstone ring my grandmother gave me when I was about 13. It’s such a sweet, delicate ring, antique and oh so perfect.

  60. kassandra Says:

earrings i bought at a church rummage sale. about a 1/2 inch in size, black background with a bouquet of flowers on the inside. outside is ‘lace’ looking frame from metal. so pretty i sometimes wear as a broach too.

  61. Laura Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is a ring that my Grandmother found during her travels to Thailand. Its a wrap around ring, with two hand painted dancers on top. As a dancer – my Grandmother felt it represented me. I owe so much to her and I miss her dearly. Without her, I would not have gone to Africa to help educate teens about AIDS. Without her I would not have met my fiance. Without her, I would not have the confidence to believe in my dreams and to follow them.

  62. jana @ weekend vintage Says:

My favorite….a simple strand of pearls.

  63. Chrysta Says:

I have several favorite pieces but probably the most favorite would be the gold hoops that were my grandma’s that my mom gave to me.

  64. Amy Says:

    My engagement ring!

  65. Sherry Says:

When my husband surprised me with a new wedding ring, had the diamond from my original ring made into a simple necklace – a lovely reminder of times past! I gave a Vintage Pearl necklace to my daughter and now would love one for myself!

  66. Amy Says:

    My wedding ring!

  67. Monica Shepherd Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is the necklace I never take off. It’s a thin chain with a small round diamond. My mom gave a diamond tie clip to my grandfather when she was in college. When my grandfather died, my grandmother had it made into a ring. My grandmother passed away almost two years ago and when she did, my mom surprised me and had that ring made into a necklace for me. It will forever be special and one day I will pass it on as well.

  68. Natalie Putnam Says:

Ok, so I only have 4 different pieces of jewelry. So, I have to say that my wedding ring is my favorite. It is the only thing I wear everyday. I love the vintage pearl necklaces. I would LOVE one with my kids names.

    Thanks

  69. Stacey Says:

I have a couple favorite pieces of jewelry. My absolute favorite is a pair of pearl drop earrings I wore for my wedding. My other favorite is a pair of diamond earrings my parents got me for graduating college. No, wait…my real favorite is my wedding ring. Well, heck, I can’t seem to decide!!!

  70. Mireya Says:

Besides my wedding rings, I love my pearl necklace and earring set my mom gave me for my college graduation!

    Thanks for the giveaway!

  71. Lynn Says:

My sacred “kantha mala” (literally neck garland) from India. A dear friend of mine had them made especially for me and they were offered to a sacred image of Krishna before she sent them (via another friend who I had not seen in years–vehicle for a happy reunion!). My 13-month -ld son has ripped them off of me many times, so this necklace has been repaired over and over again; I may have to go back to India to get a new one made eventually at the rate he is going!!

  72. Aubrey Archuleta Says:

A sting of fake pearls my father bought me before taking me to Phantom of the Opera as a little girl. He passed away a few years later. I cherish them & the memories they hold of him.

  73. Suzanne Says:

My diamond stud earrings. They are small and not very nice, but they were the first nice thing I bought myself when I was fresh out of college and got my first big raise. I never take them out. They’re perfect for me: small and understated, but still something sparkly to wear everday.

  74. holly p Says:

My wedding ring! But I love pearls as well, they always look so classy!

  75. Meg Says:

My favorite two pieces are from both my grandmothers – a simple gold ring with beautiful engraving that my paternal grandmother wore as a child, and a brooch shaped like a gardenia that my maternal grandmother was given by my grandfather when they were dating. Heirlooms are so special.

  76. Wendy Ormsby Says:

    I have visited the V.P. website before and drooled over their wares. I love the necklace you chose for this post. The flowers are sweet for my “max” and “lilly” and the pearl is my birthstone. Looks meant to be (;

  77. Wendy Ormsby Says:

oops, i forgot to say…my wedding ring is and will always be my favorite (:

  78. Laura Says:

I wear my late grandmother’s art deco cocktail ring everyday on the middle finger of my right hand. I’ve worn it for years and it’s so funny how the big statement ring is so popular now! I guess it’s a good thing that I love the ring so much and it goes with anything because…it literally won’t come off! It’s been on my hand constantly for the last 4 years!

  79. Megan P Says:

i Love jewlery! i wear something different everday! And thank you for all you’re inspiration and great projects/finds here on your blog!
PS LOVE the new buisness cards!

    Megan P

  80. Nicole G Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is a mark poulin cat necklace that my fiance got me when I found out I got my first teaching job 4 years ago. It holds a lot of sentimental value. Of course, my engagement ring is next in line. 8)

  81. molly hayes Says:

my fav piece was recently purchased from etsy – it’s a simple silver chain with the state of oregon hanging from it. the seller typically adds hearts and gems and such to decorate her pieces, but i wanted the simplest of simple. i couldn’t be happier with it.

  82. Donna Gallant Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is the diamond ring that I bought for myself a few years ago. I never really liked diamonds and then suddenly I became obsessed over them and wanted a ring badly. So…I took the plunge and bought one. It’s a symbol for me of a new postmenopausal life — I could never have anticipated the changes (no pun intended) that come with menopause, most of them positive. I feel like a new person.

  83. Kelly | Purple Lemon Designs Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is a brooch handed down to me from my grandmother. She loved costume jewelry brooches and had a ton of them. My fav is a lovely conical one that had every shade of blue; it always makes me think of her. It is so treasured now that she is no longer with me on earth.

Thanks for this wonderful giveaway opportunity!

  84. Brittany M Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is most definately the gold ring with burgundy diamonds in it that my dad found in Germany and gave to my mom, who passed it on to me! :D

  85. Kristin L Says:

Absolutely beautiful work!! My favorite piece of jewelry is the gold cross that my grandfather gave my grandmother while they were dating. They met at age 15 and were married at 16. Oh how times have changed!! They were a beautiful couple…always thinking of the other one first. My grandmother gave it to me on the day I graduated high school.

  86. Kathy Says:

I have two. The baby bootie charm my husband bought me when my first child was born (over 16 years ago!) and my new tanzanite necklace he just bought me.

  87. Angela Says:

My favorite piece is a locket that used to belong to my mother when she was young. It’s a delicate silver locket, with pictures of my great grandparents in it. (They’re the ones who gave it to her) I had to swap out the chain though, because it was meant for a little girl to wear!

  88. Darlene Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is my wedding ring. A close second is my Mom’s wedding ring. She was extremely petite and her ring fits
    my pinky.

  89. amy Says:

I should say my wedding ring, but my favorite is probably the heart necklace my husband gave me while we were dating. Even though I am not a fan in general of heart jewelry, this one is perfectly special!

  90. Naazia Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is a gold swirly ring that my grandmother gave me when I was ten. My grandmother was probably my favorite person in the universe. She told me she wanted to give me a piece of jewelry that I could actually wear on an everyday basis, instead of the kind that just collects dust until special occasions. So I literally haven’t taken it off for the last 15 years. It’s become a permanent part of my hand =)

  91. Sarah E Says:

This Christmas my mom gave me a new charm bracelet and we moved all the charms from my middle school bracelet over to the new one. I love it! I wear it every day.

  92. Kristen Says:

Hmm..there’s two I love and that I never take off – a silver bracelet that my dad gave me on my 10th birthday that I have never taken off (well, unless I’m at the airport or something..) and my engagement ring! It was my great-grandmothers given to her by my great-grandfather and came from his jewelry store, fixed up by my boyfriend (husband to be i suppose!) and given to me just a couple days ago!

  93. Leighanne Says:

It sounds very unoriginal to name an engagement ring as a favorite but I’m not above being unoriginal b/c it truly is my favorite. It is my favorite piece because my husband had it made from my Grandmother’s wedding ring. Sadly, her ring was hideous. After my grandfather passed away she had it made into a “dinner ring,” as she called it. It was the early 80s and she went a little crazy with the gold and tiny marquise diamonds around the side to try and make it look like a leaf. My husband literally laughed out loud when he saw it for the first time but really wanted my ring to have a piece of my grandmother. So he worked hard to find people that would cut it and shape it and make it beautiful! I love it and love thinking of my grandmother when I see it everyday.

  94. Rachael Hayden Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry would have to be the diamond R that my parents gave me on my 16th birthday. It was my first really expensive piece of jewelry I owned.

  95. Katie Says:

My favorite is a silver ring with a big pearl in the middle. Really simple but means a lot!

  96. Jenny K Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is my wedding ring. It has a simple and classic design that I will always love.

  97. Amy Evans Says:

With the exception of my wedding and engagement rings, my favorite piece of jewelry is a sliver spoon ring made from my great-grandmother’s baby spoon. It’s not very valuable monetarily, but I would not trade it for anything.

  98. Michele W Says:

My favorite is my engagement ring that belonged to my grandmother.

  99. Bethany P Says:

Years before I was born, my grandmother went to Alaska to serve on an Army base near a small town. When she came back home, she brought with her a pendant made from a gold nugget. She wore it for years. When her daughter got married, she gave it to her. When my father married my mother, the pendant was given to my mother. When I got married in September, my grandmother and mother gave it to me. I look forward to giving it to my daughter when she gets married. It is unrefined, but worn. Some people would call it ugly. But to me, it is the most beautiful thing I’ll ever own.

  100. Sara Says:

My favorite pieces of jewelry tied- I couldn’t choose one. :) My dad gave me my first pair of diamond anything- simple stud earrings- when I graduated from high school. I never take them out. And my mom gave me a diamond solitaire necklace when I graduated from college. These pieces are my everyday elegance.

  101. Ailie Says:

I love the chic diamond earrings I got as a gift for my husband’s PhD graduation. They go with everything!

  102. Natalie Says:

My favorite necklace is this giant pendant that I bought at a market in Paris — it’s super huge and was super cheap, but I love it. It makes an outfit and when I’m not wearing it, I have it in a frame on my wall (yes, yes… that’s strange — but it’s a beautiful piece!) I actually forgot it on the Subway one day, it had slipped off when I was taking off my scarf. I had no idea until I got home — I was heartbroken! 2 weeks later a man approached me (rather handsome) and said “I have your necklace!” and he pulled it out of his pocket. He had seen it on me before and it had caught his eye. He told me that he had it in his pocket for 2 weeks and he had been looking for me on the subway. I wish this this story ended with “we fell in love, now we’re married” but that kind of stuff only happening in awful Jennifer Lopez movies. He told me that he was going to look for me for another week and if he couldn’t find me, he’d give it to his wife. I thought it was hilarious, and wonderful that he kept it and gave it back. Here’s to a little faith in humanity!!

  103. Rachel Dallaire Says:

My favorite piece of jewlery are a pair of earrings my sister brought me from a trip to Colombia.

  104. Caro Says:

My newest favorite is a necklace I picked up at the Brooklyn Flea Market. It is a group of vinatge jewelry (pendants, old earrings, etc) all attached together with a leather cord. It’s not huge, which I love, but big enough to be a statement. And it goes with everything! Love :)

my fav piece is the blue lindy star sapphire ring my grandpa gave my mom on her junior prom and then my mom gave to me on mine. i wear it everyday! and 2 of my girl cousins have worn it when they got married at their something blue.

  106. molly Says:

favorite piece of jewelry [besides my wedding ring] is a simple gold disc necklace that is hand-forged. i wear it every day.

  107. Kat Says:

Mine is definitely my class ring – it reminds me of all the hard work I put into my degrees and all the fun I had!

  108. Cindy Says:

My Mom passed away three and 1/2 years ago and my Dad gave me her wedding ring. I love wearing it and thinking of her. It means alot.

  109. Liz Says:

I love everything my husband’s given me. He has excellent taste in jewelry.

  110. McKenzie Says:

My number one favorite piece of jewelry is a huge turquoise and silver necklace that my Grandma gave me before she died. She got it in the 60′s and its still in great shape! My husband also got me a turquoise ring to go with it and I wear it everyday!

  111. Catherine T Says:

My favorite piece is a simple charm necklace. The charm is a lock with wings attached and cutouts in the back. It’s small but very unique. I received it as a present and have loved it ever since!

  112. Jenny B Says:

I think my favorite piece of jewelry is a necklace my mother gave me forever ago. It is faint sky blue freshwater pearls on a gorgeous woven copper colored string. Little drops of sky floating around my collar bone, especially in summer with a bit of tan. It is by far the most perfectly personal piece of jewelry anyone has ever given me. I wore it on my wedding day, and constantly back then. The clasp broke and it lived in my jewelry box for a while. I just found it again in a box I was about to give away and its fixed. I got shivers. It still reminds me of summer days. I love it, one of the few things I have left from my mom.

  113. Hilary Says:

I love the vintage tiffany ring that was my grandmothers. It has a vine pattern and cant be resized so I felt like cinderella when it didn’t fit any of the other girls in my family… but it fit me! March 2 is my birthday so it would be a perfect day to win a giveaway! Thanks!

  114. em Says:

My favourite piece of jewellery is a small silver shackle that my parents gave me.

My dad built a boat and named it after me when i was born and this shackle was from the boat.

They had it put on a bracelet for me a few years ago, and now it is on a necklace that I wear everyday. I feel naked and lost without it.

{& I love those spoons – my best friend just told me she is expecting her first in September – I think I will be getting her some for the new family)

  115. Matilda Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is a locket my hubby gave me for our 7 year anniversary. So sweet, simple, and beautiful! And it was completely unexpected!

  116. Jennifer Cseh Says:

definitely my engagement ring! but this stuff is so lovely too!

  117. Diana Says:

    my wedding ring, of course!

  118. Marie Says:

My wedding ring… it still makes me blush.

  119. thewatergirl Says:

I would have to say my “promise ring” that my fiance gave me years ago, before he proposed. Although I really can’t stand the term “promise ring”!
It’s a pearl with a diamond on each side in a kind of twisty platinum band. It means just as much to me as my engagement ring and it is so different and beautiful.

  120. Christina Says:

I think my favorite piece of jewelry is either my antique inspired wedding band or a gorgeous delicate gold leaf necklace my cousin brought me from China.

  121. Colleen Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is my charm bracelet. My mom started it one summer when I was a little girl and bit by bit it grew. Now it’s like a flipbook of my childhood with charms representing milestones and places I visited.

  122. Laura Says:

I LOVE the family nest necklace. That is so darling. My husband and I are starting our own “nest” and how sweet that is…

  123. caro Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is on old ring, my grandma gave me. Its only a little silver ring with a green glass. She found it in her garden. And every I wear it I think of stories of who might have owned this ring once, and for what reasons he has landed in the bed of my grandma.

  124. Bekka Says:

My fiance gave me a steampunk necklace that he discovered on Etsy (so proud of him!) that is the coolest – it is a watch mechanisim mounted on a flat brass scarab beetle backing, with a brass chain. It is so unique, and I always get comments on it when I wear it!

  125. Sharlyn Says:

my favorite piece of jewelry is the necklace i wear daily. my mother gave it to my a few christmas’ ago and i haven’t taken it off since. its a little tiny silver umbrella on an 18 inch silver chain. its extremely dainty, simple, and unique.. sort of like me. the length of the chain is ideal. because the umbrella ends up sitting in the little indent right between my chest and my neck, and my left and right collar bone. its perfect. my mother told me she loved the umbrella because it would remind me that while it may be raining now, it can’t rain forever. coming from Oregon, that is especially true. i can layer it with other necklaces, but it never comes off. it makes me feel as if i’ll always have her with me, no matter where i go.

  126. Sarah Says:

my favorite piece of jewelry that I own is my wedding band – it has sapphires and diamonds and I love it!

  127. Katie Anne Says:

I love the hammered star necklace. Simple and cute.

  128. mary elizabeth Says:

i loooooooooooooove my wedding ring. it is by far my favorite piece of jewelry!

  129. Alden Rice Says:

My favorite piece of my own jewelry is a sterling silver bracelet that I made (with some help) when I was about 12. It’s completely battered, but I still love it!

  130. Meg Says:

My favorite is a birthstone ring that my husband gave me on my 21st birthday. All his sisters got one when they graduated high school. Since I wasn’t around then ;) he gave me one later.

  131. Hannahbelle Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is currently a pair of earrings my mom gave me for christmas. I had been eyeing them in the jewelry store, and had even put them on layaway, but when I re-evaluated finances I had to give them up. She bought them secretly and gave them to me for the holidays – square citrine studs with little diamond dots above them.

I also really love a necklace I got for my birthday, from Etsy. It is an arched branch with a crystal acorn and a little verdegris leaf. Gorgeous.

  132. Sarah Says:

My great, great grandmother’s wedding band. It’s in a v shape with tiny diamonds, white gold, very vintage and I love it.

  133. KatieJ-wannabecrafter Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is my butterfly ring from James Avery. It’s perfectly simple and beautiful, and my husband bought it for me one year after doing some “research” on my blog- very thoughtful for him!

  134. AmyLynn Says:

Current fave is a breast cancer ribbon necklace given to me by a dear friend just before I began radiation therapy. It’s been with me through all of my radiation treatments – which I just finished today!

  135. Doris Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is my school ring from OCAD. it was designed by a graduate and it’s two rings that meet together. they stamped it with my program that I graduated from (Photography) and the year!

    Thanks!

  136. Lily Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry has to be a necklace that my boyfriend gave me the five years ago when we started dating. It’s a tear drop shaped emerald that was made from the ash of Mount St. Helen’s, and at the time meant a lot because I loved Seattle but had to live in NJ. It was sort of a way of keeping both him and the city close to my heart. Now, I just love it because of sentimental value, and the stone is just so pretty!

  137. kristen Says:

A simple gold diamond necklace my parents gave me when I turned 21. It goes with everything! I can wear it running or out on a date with my husband. I do have to say my wonderful husband has given me a necklace with the birth of our three daughters. These will be passed down to them when they have their first children. Those pieces are my favorite, too. Oh, It’s just too hard to decide!!!

  138. Dee Wilcox Says:

I, too, love my wedding ring most, but of the pieces of jewelry that I don’t “have” to wear everyday, the silver spoon ring my mother gave me is my favorite. It’s vintage, not too girly, not too hippy-ish, and seems to match my style more on most days than any other piece of jewelry I own. It’s at an opposite end of the spectrum from my wedding ring (which speaks to me about love and commitment) and reflects my artsy, vintage-loving, adventurous self.

  139. Angie Says:

My favorite: a gold crucifix given to me by my godmother — engraved with my birthdate (from the sixties!). I wear it every day.

  140. Shannon Says:

Like most everyone else, my wedding ring is my favorite piece of jewelry. Mostly because it has more sentimental value than just a symbol of our marriage. The stones are from my great-grandmother (who passed away when I was very young) and my husband’s mother (who passed away when he was 15). I don’t think I’ve taken it off since I got married :)

  141. Joan Says:

I really like my wedding ring but my signature piece is a leather and turquoise bracelet. Love it. Love it with about three other bracelets added to the mix – in this case, more is better.

  142. Emily Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is a necklace–a simple chain with two rusty, dirty skeleton keys on it. The keys are from a junk shop in Austin TX, and I absolutely love it!

  143. erin Says:

I have a little bee charm hanging from a delicate gold chain. I really love it! I also am loving Vintage Pearls designs!

  144. Cynthia_Stellina*Stellina Says:

My great gradmothers 14k gold wedding band. The sentimental value is obvious, but the simplicity of the design enables me to wear it with almost everything (keeping her close wherever I go!)

  145. Sarah Butler Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry right now is a chunky necklace made by a company called Freedom Stones – they are a non-profit that rescues women and children in eastern Asia out of sexual slavery and the sex trade. not only does it support an incredible cause, but it is beautiful as well.
    http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_MvCYiKbGq2I/SvmdCPDZmpI/AAAAAAAABZo/djiyN0OlKJY/s1600-h/freedomstones.jpg

I do love the vintage pearl – my mother in law received the open circle necklace with the names of all 6 grandkids engraved on it for Christmas. :)

  146. nicole spinella Says:

my wedding band- it is white gold, uninterrupted by diamonds. i love the meaning of a never ending, humble ring.

  147. Sarah T. Says:

My very favorite piece of jewelry is, of course, my wedding/engagement ring set. Not only for its loveliness and meaning, but for the fact that my husband picked it out without my help, and he got it exactly right. Second to that is a simple necklace I wear almost everyday: a tiny round vintage brass locket on a vintage brass chain. Small and simple, and just perfect.

  148. Kirsten Says:

My fave piece of jewelry at the moment is actually a gift from this Christmas. My husband gave me a gift certificate to Vintage Pearl and I ordered the layered disc necklace with the pearl. The inside disc has my husband and children’s names. The outside disc has a quote from one of my fave songs by the weepies. It says “you turned me into somebody loved”. My husband and children have truly transformed me into a person who is loved and gives love completely!!

  149. yvi Says:

i’m sure it’s redundant here, but my favorite piece would have to be my wedding band. for obvious reasons :)

  150. mari anne Says:

My favorite piece is a necklace that I found in my Mom’s jewelry box after she passed on. It is so whimsical and beautiful. It is made with crystals and plastic thread – so it sits on my neck and sparkles and shines – a beautiful reminder of my Mom’s legacy. She was one beautiful woman…..

  151. Rachel Lynn Says:

My favorite is my engagement ring, of course! Before that it was the ring that I bought while I was in Ireland, but it only fit on my ring finger, so I had to retire it after I got engaged. My fiance must have been thinking though, because he ordered my engagement ring from Ireland too, so I’ll still be wearing something that reminds me.

  152. Jennifer S Says:

My current favorite piece of jewelery is a necklace that my husband brought back to me from a recent trip to South Africa. (He’s an astronomer and he was there for a conference) It’s a long necklace with small glass beads interspersed with large wooden flat oval beads painted in bright orange and turquoises. It’s really unique and not something I would normally choose, but it goes well with almost all of my clothes and it’s so special. I love that my khaki and brown t-shirt guy would bring me something so lovely.

  153. Betsy Says:

my favorite piece is a ring I designed with my grandmother for high school graduation, she has a matching one :)

  154. kym Says:

It’s funny, I was just looking at the Vintage Pearl website last night. I’ll have to wait after this drawing to place an order (just in case I get lucky). My favorite piece of jewelry is my engagement ring.

  155. Mo Says:

That’s easy–the engagement ring my fiance and I picked out together. :)
It is a sapphire with two little diamonds in recycled gold.

  156. Kassie Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is a small white gold and ruby necklace my fiance gave me on our very first Valentines Day together. It’s nothing flashy or expensive, but it means the world to me. That Valentines Day was the best one I’ve ever had and that necklace is a little reminder of that day.

  157. made sweet Says:

My turquoise ring that i got for five dollars on the streets of Mazatlan, Mexico three years ago. Never go a day without it.

  158. Laurie Downey Says:

my favorite piece of jewelry…mmmm…not very elegant but I must say my blue rubber colon cancer band…it is my constant companion and my constant reminder how precious and fleeting life can be.

  159. Danielle Says:

I love jewelry and to pick just one from my collection is really hard! If pressed I’d guess it’s my grandmother’s filigree engagement ring from the 30′s. The detailed work is incredible as are my memories of the woman who once wore it.

  160. Lauren M Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry, is not my engagement ring with an heirloom diamond I inherited, it’s the diamond star necklace I got on my 16th birthday from my aunt (she doesn’t have any daughters) who got it on her 16th birthday from someone else who got it on her 16th. One day I hope to give it to my daughter on her 16th birthday as well and keep the family tradition going :D

  161. Kellie Says:

My grandmother’s engagement ring. It is an art deco design with a teeny tiny diamond. I love the story it has to tell, and it’s graceful elegance.

  162. Courtney Says:

Hi! What a beautiful giveaway. My favorite piece of jewelry is my grandpa’s ring. He past away 7 years ago from cancer.. I loved him so much, I talked to him every day of my life and there isn’t a day go that goes by that I don’t miss him, but its always nice to wear his ring because I remember him wearing it. Jewelry is great because its timeless and it can become apart of your family. Thank you!

  163. Jazmin Says:

A pair of silver earrings I bought in a market in Mexico from a lovely, artistic, young couple. They go with everything!

  164. Amanda W Says:

    I want to win!!

My favorite piece has to be my engagement ring. My fiance was given my grandmother’s engagement ring to use and he took the center stone from his and put it in mine. It’s sweet because I will always have a little piece of her with me.

  165. Anne Says:

My favorite is my wedding ring. We were married in secret and so I wear it on my right hand instead of my left. I continually look down at it, switch it to the other hand, and then quickly back, play with it, and think about our secret love.

  166. tricia Says:

I’m gonna be cliche and say my engagement ring. It’s most likely my favorite because I picked it out without even knowing it. Oh that husband of mine is sooo sneaky ;o)

  167. Erin Says:

My favorite piece beside my engagement ring (my husband’s grandmother’s ring) is a necklace my grandmother gave me when I graduated from college. It has a single diamond in it but the special part is that it was a diamond from my grandfather’s ring (he passed away when I was in high school). His wish was that each of his granddaughters had one of the diamonds from his ring (3 diamonds and 3 granddaughters). I think of him everytime I wear it.

  168. Michele Says:

My fav piece is a pendant my grandmother gave to me on my sixteenth birthday–an opal with diamond chips around it.

  169. Natalie Says:

My current favorite is a new sparkly diamond watch that I got for Christmas.

  170. Melissa Says:

I used to manage a sterling silver and stone jewelry store, so I have a TON of jewelry! I don’t know if I could pick a favorite!

  171. Meredith Says:

Classic Pearls, for sure! Thanks for the opportunity!

  172. Stefanie E Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is a pair of diamond earrings my dad gave me for my 25th birthday. He said that every girl should have a diamond by the time she’s 25. I wear them every day!

  173. Janis Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry, aside from my engagement ring and wedding band, is my grandmother’s old turquoise ring. It reminds me of her every time I wear it!

  174. Tawnya Says:

I have a little obsession with lockets, so I would have to say that my favorite piece I own is my long chained locket from Anthropologie. I had my eye on it for months and one day, without even knowing that I wanted it, my boyfriend gave it to me as a gift! I love that he knows me so well and I think of that everytime I wear it.

  175. Lucinda J. Says:

Wonderful giveaway ! Her creations are gorgeous!
My fave piece of jewelry is an etsy neclace made with handmade glass beads is scrumptious colors of aqua, green and pink. It makes me smile :)

  176. Jennifer Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is a tiny, tiny diamond set in yellow gold that was my great-grandmother’s. My mother wore it as her engagement ring for years and years, and I’m sure that’s why I had my heart set on a solitaire in yellow gold when my time to get engaged came. Now my mother has a new ring, and she gave me the heirloom to wear on my right hand on my wedding day. I still wear it often, because it’s lovely and even more important, because of what it represents…family and enduring love!

Another favorite is my sterling silver charm bracelet that was my mother’s when she was growing up. I still add charms and would love to add a piece from The Vintage Pearl. I enjoyed looking at all the pieces on The Vintage Pearl, particularly the keepsakes.

  177. jaclyn Says:

MY NEW ENGAGEMENT RING! YIPPEE! Thanks for the chance :)

  178. Megan Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry are the vintage 1920 pearl earings my grandma gave me before I got married. I based my handmade vintage dress off of them. Having those earings on connected me with my past while I was staring at my future. They are one of my most prized posessions!

  179. Jane Says:

my favorite piece is by far my engagement ring and wedding band. it’s the most expensive and most sentimental thing i own. it means so much to me since my hubby worked hard many years to provide it.

  180. mary t Says:

A pair of diamond earrings my husband gave me on my 25th birthday are my favorites right now. :)

  181. Aislinn Says:

My favorite is the necklace my husband gave me for my first mothers day. It is so pretty and it is a daily reminder of the love he gives me as a wife and a mother of now three boys!!

  182. April Daniels Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry would have to be the pearl ring I got from my grandma before she passed away. I only wear it for special occasions, because it is so delicate. I wore it constantly in college, but I broke the shank. I was so unhappy thinking I had permanently ruined it. I got it fixed & it is more beautiful.

  183. Dee Says:

My great aunt’s jade and diamond ring. I was never a fan of jade, but this ring is unusual, ginormous and apparently worth a fortune. Best of all, jade is supposed to be lucky – my mother gave it to me at a particularly rough time, and promised me that things would turn up if I wore the ring. She was right, all’s sunnier now, and I credit the jade!

  184. Stephanie Says:

It’s a tie! What girl wouldn’t say her engagement ring? So I must say that first. The other is my paternal grandmother’s wedding band. My grandfather had a diamond added to it years later. I don’t wear it even though it fits. This inspires me to get it out of my jewelry box.

  185. Kalea Says:

Oh hands down my favorite piece of jewelery is my diamond stud earings that my boyfriend gave me – but what makes them so special is that they have been passed down now three generations in his family – the earings were originally his Grandmothers, who died before we started dating. So very special to me.

  186. Emily Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is a typewriter key necklace my dad gave me years ago. I thought I’d lost it when I moved cross-country, but I just recently found it and I’m so excited to have it back!

  187. Emily Says:

I was surprised at our wedding with the gift of my grandmother’s ring. It’s one-of-a-kind and she had it made from three rings that belonged to her parents – it was passed down to my mom when my grandmother died during my senior year of high school. My mom wanted to give it to my husband so he could propose with it but was just too sentimental. By the time we got married, she was ready for me to have it and my husband decided to surprise me during the ring-exchange at our wedding ceremony.
    I never take it off.

  188. Stephanie Says:

it’s a simple initial pendant from tiffany’s that i wear with me always — I bought it on my first mother’s day, with my daughter’s initial on it…I’m planning on giving it to her when she’s 12

  189. Jessie Says:

I LOVE jewelry!! I think I may have a bit of a problem! *blush*…I would have to say, by far, my favorite peice of jewelry is my wedding ring. Simple, classic gold, diamond solitare. I have lots of favorite “fun” jewelry…a vintage mother of pearl necklace that belonged to a great aunt and a Stella & Dot birthstone and initial necklace that I just got. I could name a few million more :)
    <3

  190. Angelica Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is a $25 antique button ring I got at a craft fair. It’s unusual and I imagine where the button might have lived or been before every time I put it on.

  191. Jenna Says:

My engagement ring is a spectacular black pearl. I adore it…

  192. Malinda Says:

I would get this one with my neice and nephew’s names on it for my mom :)

  193. Holli S. Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is my grandmother’s engagement ring with the inscription from my grandfather still on the inside of the band. He chased her for 12 years before she married him in June of 1945, just after he returned from the South Pacific. My other favorite piece of jewelery is a typewriter key bracelet that I found at an antique store. It scratches the heck out of my wrist, but it’s just too perfect for my personality to give up!

  194. Maeghan M. Says:

I think my favorite piece of jewelry is, hands down, the first real piece of jewelry I received from my mom when I turned thirteen–it’s a white gold ring, with a blue opal center and little blue topaz stones surrounding it. It marked the beginning of my teenage years, and now that I’m in my twenties, is still something I wear on a regular basis!

  195. catherine s. Says:

My fav item is my ss band with my daughter’s name and birthdate stamped into it – a single simple reminder of me and the hubs’ greatest collaboration together and our little angel that was so worth the wait.

    great giveaway!!!

    catherine s.

  196. Natalie Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is not the glitziest thing I own but rather a simple sterling silver ring with 3 bands that roll. The reason it is my favorite is my best friend from high school and I each purchased one at Portland Saturday Market before going away to college, every time it jingles or I roll it over my finger I’m reminded of Em, Portland and home.

  197. Mandi Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is a necklace that I bought myself for loosing twenty pounds. It was a tough thing to do – but everytime I see that necklace, it reminds me of what I am capable of.

  198. Jessica Says:

My favorite is actually two items that used to be one. My fiance inherited a beautiful diamond necklace that belonged to his grandmother. When he decided to propose, he took the largest diamond and made it into a ring, then had the other diamonds made into a necklace. So beautiful, creative, and sentimental…

  199. Natalie Says:

I really like the simple mother of pearl necklace ~ so pretty!

My favorite piece of jewelry is definitely my engagement ring. My husband picked it out all by himself and not only is it my dream ring, but it fit be PERFECTLY the moment he placed it on my finger :)

My favorite piece of jewelry is my wedding ring. My husband had it made for me and it’s exactly what I would have chosen, plus more. Thanks for the chance to win this great giveaway!

  201. Samantha P. Says:

I love the necklace that my husband got me from The Vintage Pearl! It’s the Heart Necklace and it has a line of lyrics from our wedding song stamped onto it. I love all Erin’s stuff and would love to win this! :-D

My Pearls are my Go To jewlery-you can never go wrong with a fabulous strand of Pearls.

  205. Becky Says:

My favorite jewlery right are the rings my mom wore everyday – her basic thick (70′s bride) gold band, and two thin bands that were her grandparents that have been soildered together. My mom passed away in October and since then I have worn her wedding bands in place of my own. I have her hands, so looking down and seeing her rings always catches my breath and reminds me to take each day as it comes.

  206. Eve S Says:

I swear I’m not kissing up here, but my two staple necklaces are a beautifully cut and varnished wooden initial necklace with my baby son’s initial on it, and my vintage pearl mommy necklace. I had my eye on it and bought it once we found out we were expecting a boy – it is her square tags necklace with two tags for my two babes.

  207. Mrs. Oh Says:

    My mother’s wedding bands.

  208. Megan C Says:

my favorite piece is an ID bracelet with my middle name on it. i found my mother’s, when I was little, in a keepsake box she had, and told her i wanted one too. She gave mine to me as a birthday gift. I love the idea of it being passed down :)

  215. robin Says:

my favorite piece is a beautiful teardrop diamond necklace. everyone assumes it’s vintage. i love that it’s beautiful enough to look vintage, yet modern and purchased from a conflict free diamond source. i’ve never had much family… so i have never received anything passed on, but i’d like to think that i might have a beautiful daughter to pass it on to some day to make her feel special! thanks for the giveaway! i adore the vintage pearl and have drooled over their goods for a while :o )

  216. Carina Says:

my fav piece would be my wedding ring. I love it so much and the design attracts a lot of attention for some reason.

My favorite piece of jewelry is the sterling silver cross that my father gave me shortly before his death. It meant so much to him that I loved that little necklace and it was the last gift he ever gave me.
I’d love to add on to my silver collection with a gorgeous vintage pearl piece!

  222. Leanne K Says:

the first piece of jewelry from my husband before we got married was a sterling silver cross necklace with a diamond in the middle. it needs some polishing, but other than my wedding ring, that has to be my favorite!

  223. Holly Says:

Its my Tiffany bean necklace. I lived in Chicago while going to college and it makes me think of the big bean in Millennium Park. Living in Chicago was life changing and helped create who I am and see who I wanted to become. Chicago gave me (a girl from central CA) the opportunity to cross items off my life list: run a marathon, graduate from college, see a famous person, wear a two piece in public, jump in a public fountain, milk a cow, go to a blues club, eat caviar, and see a Cubs game at Wrigley Field. Chicago means so much to me and so my little bean necklace is my most favorite piece of jewelry.

  224. Hizzeather Says:

My wedding ring is an obvious choice, but I also love my 1 pearl and diamond earring that my husband got me for our wedding. I say 1 earring because I lost the other about a month ago…saddest day ever. I’m still holding onto the 1 though…I love it.

  225. Meagan Says:

I don’t even know what it’s truely called, but my family calls it a wish bracelet. It’s just this beautiful yet simple little beaded bracelet with a box type charm. The box has a tiny little lid/clasp on it and inside is a rolled up piece of paper. It belonged to my great grandmother, who gave it to my grandmother, who gave it to my mother, who gave it to me…each time they would pass it down, they would add another box charm (i love it because they’re all different..specially picked by the woman who passed it down). On the rolled up piece of paper in the charm is a written wish for the recipient from the woman before. So one box has a wish from my great-grandmother to my grandmother..from her to my mother, from my mother to me. Mine says “Continue to see the beauty in the world and you shall see it in yourself”. It’s nice having that to read when I’m down, along with the other wishes.

  226. Brittany Says:

My favorite piece would have to be a ring given to me by my Nana. She got it when she was a teenager. Her aunt had gone to Italy and brought back a ring. It has an intaglio design: a soldier emprinted on it. I love it. It is two-toned and unlike anything I have seen thus far. I will always treasure it knowing it was hers in her youth.

  227. Kathryn C Says:

Ooh – my solitaire princess cut ring picked out completely by my husband! And after that my husband’s great grandma’s ring – it’s a huge marquis cut stone in gold. Of course I still need to get it sized because she had tiny fingers and gold is a little pricey…

My 25th wedding anniversary ring that my husband gave me on bended knee…

My favourite piece of jewelry (that I currently own and am not waiting for my mother to give me) is my Elsa Peretti teardrop necklace from Tiffany’s. I had been hinting to my then boyfriend that I wanted it for Christmas but he never picked up the hint. After we broke up (and a lot of my own tears), my friend gave it to me, remembering how much I wanted it. To this day, whenever I look at the teardrop I think to myself how blessed I am to be surrounded by people who love me and are always there to wipe away my tears :)

My favorite piece of “jewelry” is the aluminum foil engagement ring that my husband made for me just before he proposed (he couldn’t afford the ring yet, but he was confident that love wouldn’t have to wait until he could). It was perfectly executed and a sign of good things to come. Though I wear the exact same design in diamonds and platinum today, I will always cherish the humble ring that started it all.

  255. Laura Sue Says:

I never spend money on jewelry. I either make a piece, or keep my budget at $5. The only “real” pieces of jewelry I own are my wedding and engagement rings and they are definitely my favorite. My husband did a phenomenal job picking them out. I am so thankful to be with someone who knows I appreciate simple things, but is willing to show me I’m “worth it” by buying me beautiful jewelry.

  258. Lauren Says:

When I was 16 my mother gave me a beautiful necklace that was made from the diamonds in her engagement ring. My parents divorced when I was young, so the ring had been sitting in a jewelry box for quite a few years. My mother tearfully told me that although her marriage to my father didn’t work out, that this necklace was to symbolize the love that is in the world. I cannot wait to wear that necklace when I walk down the aisle.

Also, I’m very excited about this giveaway as I plan to buy my nephew one of the keepsake baby spoons the vintage pearl sells. I’ll have to wait til he’s born on Tuesday to find out what his name will be so I can have it stamped onto the handle.

My favorite piece of jewelry is the pearl necklace a dear friend brought back from China

  260. Taylor Says:

I don’t own a lot of jewelry, which is why this would be a super awesome giveaway to win! My friends all make fun of me because I am incapable of accessorizing. It’s tragic.

I have a necklace that I wear every day, though. It’s a tiny star charm on a little delicate thread. It’s one of those necklaces that you’re supposed to wear until it breaks, and when it does, your wish comes true. It’s something a twelve year old would wear, but I like it!

My favourite piece of jewellery is my engagement ring. Not just for the sentimental reasons, it is always so sparkly and catcjes the light all the time and makes me smile.

  262. Jessica Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is a black onyx and diamond cocktail ring my boyfriend gave me for Christmas 2008. We stopped at the jewelry store in May – around my birthday to get some ideas. I spotted this ring, but it was just far beyond my birthday budget (and out of my anytime budget, to be honest). But I fell in love. And every month or so, I’d swing by just to see the ring. When a little box showed up beneath the Christmas tree, I hoped it would be the bauble – but I didn’t really think it’d be there. It was!

  263. Alice Samphao Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is my wedding ring! I didn’t choose it myself (my husband did). I think he has good taste! He’s a keeper too.

I really love my Chamilia charm bracelet, because it is growing with me. It holds memories of the birth of my 3 boys, milestone birthdays, things that are important to me and special friends. Coming from a background where money was extremely tight, it is such a delight to have something so beautiful – with no real purpose other than to make me happy.

Thanks for the opportunity to win something else lovely!

  268. kellyk Says:

my favorite piece of jewelry is the charm bracelet that my dad bought for me in washington d.c. when i was 9 years old. he went to d.c. on a business trip and came home with the most charming bracelet that featured all of the famous monuments and capital buildings. it has taken on a slightly greenish tinge and much of the “gold” has flaked off (don’t tell dad!) but i still lovingly keep it on my dresser to remind me of his love.

  269. Michelle Says:

my fave piece of jewelry I own is a pair of feather earrings. Every time I wear them, many people ask, “are those real feathers?” The look on their faces is priceless!

  270. Joie Says:

I love jewelry but most of mine was stolen when our house was broken into a year ago. One piece they didn’t take though was my great-grandmother’s wedding ring. I also LOVE your amazing blog and talent!

My dh & kids picked out a really pretty sapphire necklace for me at a jewelry store this summer while on vacation and gave it to me for my birthday in August. 273. Sarah Says:

Sterling silver is my favorite! It is too difficult to pick on jewelry item. I am a simple person and wear one-two pieces of jewelry at a time. My favorite is probably my wedding banding because of all the meaning behinding it. I also wear a pair of diamond earrings that my mom passed down to me. Now, I am looking for a piece of jewelry (probably a necklace) to represent my 1st baby! One piece for each person I love!

  274. Caroline Says:

I found two plated gold/orange koi fish with blue eyes and turned them into earrings. The body is made of linked plates so the fish move like they are swimming. They are so cute and they remind me of something Ms. Frizzle would wear.

  279. missdtm Says:

one of my favorite pieces of jewelry i wear daily is my grandfather’s wedding band. when he passed away in the summer of ’08, my grandmother asked me what i wanted and i said, “a piece of jewelry from him…” he always wore chains so i assumed she would give me one of those but my mom showed up with his wedding ring instead.

it is a gold band with 3 little diamonds in it with a very strange design on it–i would say they look a little like branches that criss cross. it fits perfectly on my middle finger so i barely ever take it off and i am so careful with it. my grandmother always says that when she passes away, my sister will get the matching band (hers) so it will always stay with us.

  280. LeeAnn Says:

BIG DANGLY earings are my favorite piece of jewelry. Once I lost one of my artsy fartsy pieces and a student that wasn’t even in my class, picked it up from the parking lot because she knew it was mine.

  281. Q! Says:

I wish I could say it is my wedding ring but I lost it in a strange event that is a long story including a Crackhead, pimp, hooker and john doe in the backstreets of Tacoma WA! Although I miss it, I’m glad I can laugh about it! I lieu of that, a pin that belonged to my grandmother who died before I was born, given to me by my grandad who has since died as well. It is a black donkey with a basket of flowers! Quirky, hilarious but mine and I love it!
PS I Love Love Love your cards! Beautiful!
    Cheers!

I don’t wear much jewelry, but my favorite is a pair of tanzanite & diamond earrings my partner gave me. Simple, but elegant. I also announced a giveaway today. Come by if you’d like!

  284. chandra Says:

I have a 3 way tie really, my engagement ring, my wedding band, and the Tiffany key necklace that was a gift from my husband on the morning of our wedding. I wear all three every single day. But if I have to pick one, it is my wedding band because of what it symbolizes and because our rings were blessed by all of our wedding guests, so I feel that I carry those blessings with me in my wedding band whenever I wear it!

  285. Melanie Says:

A rose gold, pave diamond ring. I bought it for myself with my own money, and well, that makes me proud!

  286. Rachael B Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is a small, gold and blue cloisonne fish that my grandmother gave me when I was a little girl. I wear in on a small gold chain. She passed away when I was 10, but whenever I wear the fish, I think happy memories of being with her.

  287. Nan Says:

Those are beautiful jewelry. I have to say that my most favorite piece of jewelry aside from my engagement ring is my 13th anniversary ring. My husband gave it to me on our 13th anniversary as a surprise and I have not taken it off my finger since.

  288. Kirsten Says:

I know it’s not very original to say my wedding ring, but it’s the clear favorite. My husband I and picked it out together before we eloped. A ruby solitaire, it embodies what I like think of as my own personal style: one part classic and one part unconventional. And the rich red color reminds me every day that after two years, I still think my husband is red hot. :)

  289. Elaine Pendlebury Says:

Hard decision but my friend gave me a silver necklace with two keys for a birthday gift and I love the smoothness of the keys and added a mother of pearl cross to it so it jangles just a little more!

  290. Celestia Says:

My penny necklace with a heart cut out of the center!!!!! I love wearing it!

  291. Lisa Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry by far is my wedding band. Its really the nicest piece of jewelry I own (and likely will own for a very long time) and my husband and I had it designed together. I get many compliments on it and I think its a timeless piece that I will wear for life and hope to pass on to my daughter when the time comes!

  292. Valerie Says:

I think my current favorite is a blue diamond necklace that my husband gave me for my last birthday, but I also have an attachment for the little white gold and diamond hoops that he gave me on our first anniversary. We were back in Maine, where we had gone for our honeymoon and he managed to surprise me with them. I rarely take them off.

  293. Martha Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is my wedding ring. A lot of days I am dressed down and don’t feel like putting in earrings or wearing a watch, necklace or any extra accessory. But if I leave the house without my wedding ring on, my finger feels naked, and I miss it all day.

  294. Lori Ficht Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is my Grandmother’s Buddha necklace, a gift to her from my Granddad. A tiny delicate gold Buddha hangs from a gold chain. Very simple but so symbolic. My rough exterior Grandfather, who wasn’t what you would call spiritual or religious in any way, had a connection to these chubby little symbols of love and happiness. When I wear this necklace it reminds me that there is a desire for peace in all of us, even if we appear to be a little rough around the edges.

  295. Antonia Says:

for a few years, I kept telling my husband that I really wanted some simple white gold hoops to go with my wedding band and engagement ring…well after years of looking…my husband found the perfect pair and gave them to me Christmas morning 4 years ago…all the thought and time that he spent looking for them…just the sweetest thing!

  296. Jennifer Says:

A simple sapphire bracelet that my husband gave me for our anniversary.

    Thank you for the giveaway!

  297. Dianne Says:

  298. Amanda Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry currently is my engagement ring. My fiance said he picked it because it looked vintage and modern at the same time.

  299. alice Says:

Without a doubt my favorite piece of jewelry was given to me this past Christmas by my wonderful mother in law. It is charm that was part of a bracelet that was originally given by her to her mother (my husbands grandmother) the charm has my husbands name with his birthdate. The story that goes along with it is too long to reprint here but let’s just say it brought tears to all of our eyes on Christmas morning. I love wearing it, holding it in my hands knowing all the love that is represented in this piece. I would love to have charms for each of my children to pass on someday.

  300. Marg Says:

I am in love with the vintage pearl! And have been drooling over it for some time now :) My favorite jewelry is my wedding and engagement bands. My husband designed them himself and they are so very pretty.

  302. Megan Elizabeth Says:

I have a lot of jewelery because I think that jewelery is what ‘makes or breaks’ an outfit. My current favorites: A bangle from Forever 21. It looks like it’s hand painted with pretty little flowers and a gold trim, I try to wear it with everything!
Also, I found this gorgeous necklace at a vintage jewelery fair. It’s a tarnished gold amulet with a topaz stone set in the middle. It’s on a long chain and it’s absolutely BEAUTIFUL! :)

  303. melissa mae Says:

my favorite piece of jewelry is a cheap silver chain with charms from important places/people in my life. it has a whale charm because that is my favorite animal, a mickey mouse head silhouette from my honeymoon, an “m” for melissa, a dog tag with a hand in the shape of “i love you” in sign language, because my husband and I do that sign to each other several times a day, and the chinese symbol for “faith”.

  304. ashley Says:

my favorite piece of jewelry is my sapphire and diamond band. my mom had always told me she was going to buy me a sapphire ring for my 16th birthday (my birthstone), but she passed away before then. when my 16th bday rolled around, my older sister took me to buy it “from my mom,” which makes it double special. i recently lost my wedding band, and have been wearing it as a replacement wedding band so it has many meanings now.

  305. Amanda Young Says:

My favorite it the layered Mother of Pearl necklace…my second favorite is the bitty blossoms. I am definitely wanting something from Vintage Pearl for Mother’s Day.

  306. ger Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is my 30th wedding anniversary ring. My husband had it made for me with three oval shaped diamonds—It is exactly what I would have picked!!!

  307. Madge Says:

my favorite has got to be this super plain sterling silver ring on my right finger. it’s nothing fancy or expensive, in fact it cost only about $7, i think. but it was given by my childhood best friend way back when we were in the 5th grade one sunny valentine’s day while sitting at the school bench after our lunch break. along with the ring (which he also has – an identical one), my best friend promised that he’ll always be there for me, and that no matter where life brings him (his father is a government employee who gets assigned to different countries), he will always come looking for me and will come back for me some day. i never took the ring off since the day he gave it to me. fast forward to present, i still have the ring on my finger, not just a sign of friendship with my childhood best friend, but a symbol of love, loyalty, and lasting commitment from my then-best friend-now-husband. yes, we got married, and we didn’t change the ring at all. we’ve been together for 25 years now, living blissfully and blessed with a beautiful son.:)

  308. Sharon Holden Says:

My favourite piece of jewellery is a bracelet my husband gave me with little disks engraved with my sons names and dates of birth. We got the idea from his grandmother who had one with all her children and grandchildrens names on it.

  309. AlaskaTeacher Says:

    My wedding ring!!!

  310. fiona lynne Says:

I’m going to be predictably cheesy, but the one thing I do love is my wedding ring which I have only been wearing about 8 months so it’s still new and beautiful – a blue sapphire surrounded by tiny diamonds. It’s classic and feminine and I love it!

  311. Sarah Says:

My favourite piece of jewelry is probably my chalkboard necklace. It’s got a red frame and hangs on a ribbon, and I can write or draw whatever takes my fancy using a tailor’s pencil. It’s so adaptable and people always tell me how cool it is when I wear it!

  312. Gina Says:

My great grandmother’s wedding band. It is super plain, but it was hers. I wear it and think of her always. It is one of my most treasured pieces!

  313. Sarah H. Says:

My engagement ring, then a necklace my now fiance gave me.

  314. Elizabeth Says:

  315. Laura Says:

Well, besides my wedding ring which is very special, I would say that the gold band with the Bible verse,”I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine” (in Hebrew) is my favorite piece of jewelry and another one I rarely remove. It means so much because it was purchased after a very difficult season in our marriage several years ago–it is a constant reminder of God’s great love and forgiveness. My husband wears a matching one.

Thanks for the chance to win!

  316. Mindy K Says:

My favorite piece is a ring I got at a little street vendor when I lived in Ukraine … it’s a silver band that says, “Jesus is the King” in Russian. I love it!

  321. Heather S Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is a Vintage bracelet that was given to me by my Grandma. It was a piece of jewelry that was given to her by her brother. It was probably the most special piece of jewelry she owned and it was extra special that she gave it to me. I rarely wear it because I don’t want anything to happen to it.

  322. Katie Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is a necklace that my boyfriend gave me for Christmas this year. It’s made by a local artist and I’d been eyeing it for a while but it was out of my price range. It’s a freshwater pearl hanging inside a silver ring. I didn’t even know that he knew I wanted it, but what a great surprise when I opened the box! I wear it every day now. :)

  323. Jacqueline B Says:

Hmmm favorite piece? I have two, the first is the gold/diamond heart pendant my sweetie gave me on our first anniversary. The second is an older charm that I gave my grandfather years ago (it states boldly that he is the number 1 grandpa) and was given to me after he passed away.

  324. Libby Says:

I would have to say that my favorite piece of jewelry is a locket that my mom surprised me with last Christmas. It was her mom’s and I had never seen it before. My grandfather was stationed in Puerto Rico during WWII and bought this gold locket for my grandmother while down there. The front of the locket has a Puerto Rican beach scene and hut carved in it and on the back Lib is in quotations. My grandmother’s name was Mary Elizabeth, but she went by Lib…Hence why I’m Libby. There is a picture of my grandfather in uniform on the inside. I never met either of my mom’s parents (they both died before I was born) so I value this locket as one of my greatest treasures.

  325. Robyn Says:

Without a second thought my favorite piece of jewelry is a silver and gold pendant my husband had made for me from a tiny glass button containing a daisy which I found on Sand Point on Lake Pepin (the widest point of the Mississippi)last July.

I’m an avid beach comber and river glass collector as I’ve found it to be good therapy. Living on the river you tend to take the river and all of its beauty for granted forgetting all of the neat little places & the greatness the river is.

The glass button which I found was so special because it is a clear perfectly round button about the size of a pen cap in diameter with a single daisy embossed on it. Something so easy to have been passed up on our trek that day.

What made it even more special was that my husband kept track of where I put the little button and took it across the lake to a wonderful shop in Pepin, Wisconsin to work with a local gold smith to create a silver daisy bendant with a gold bezel setting that held my little glass button. So much thought was put into the pendant, creating it to be versatile in my collection, allowing me to wear it with a snake or omega chain, or even a silk ribbon.

The pendant reminds me to never over look the little things in life, and of my husbands love for me.

  326. Amanda Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry was just given to me on the most recent Valentines Day. My fiance bought me a Tiffany necklack with two hearts (the back one says i love you over and over and the front heart says let me count the ways) Its really special because I had seen is months and months ago and loved it and then when i went to show him they didn’t have it anymore :( BUT he is AMAZING and called every Tiffany’s in Texas and got the VERY last one. Have I mentioned he is AMAZING and i love love love love him so much!

  327. Jessica Z Says:

I happen to be obsessed with all things old-fashioned, and sporting pearls is my favorite addition to an outfit. When my grandmother gave me an old ring that her grandmother gave her I was ecstatic! It is too small to fit any other member of the family, so I wear it on my pinky. My favorite part: It has a large, real pearl sitting like a queen on the top!

  328. Monika Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is the engagement ring my Grandpa bought. It’s a beautiful Art Deco ring that he bought in 1929 and to let you know how small his hometown was it was actually announced in the local newspaper, “Bud doesn’t seem to be worried about the stock market crash since he was seen buying a diamond ring yesterday.” Whenever I wear it I think of my Grandpa and it makes me smile.

  329. Jenn Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is a simple necklace my Dad gave me on Valentine’s Day a few years back. I was pregnant with my daughter. My husband and I were preparing for a big move/new job on the West coast. He had already went out there a bit earlier. I was staying with my parents for a few weeks until he could find a place for us to live. Even though I didn’t have my husband on Valentine’s Day, my Dad came through as my stand-in. :) It was totally unexpected and I will cherish that necklace always!

  330. Anelieze Says:

a $4.80 dangly necklace from forever 21! it transforms any item of clothing into something chic. :)

  331. Christan P Photography Says:

Well, as a man, my one piece of jewelry is my wedding ring. I love that for obvious reasons. Tomorrow is my 4th anniversary with my wife. I would have loved to have given her the beautiful necklace with both of our initials to tell her thanks for being my best friend and holding my hand through life.

  332. Tammip Says:

My opal cocktail ring. My mom gave it to me to my surprise. My mom and I don’t have the best relationship but every once and a while something like this happens.

  333. the chatty housewife Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry (other than my wedding ring of course) is a three strand wire necklace I made myself with labradorite, quartz and grey Persian glass beads.

  334. Renae Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is definitely my LL personalized necklace with my boys’s names on it and “remember” on the back for the little one that never came. I hold it in my hand and close my eyes and remember…and wonder.

  335. Amy Says:

The charm bracelet my great-grandmother gave me. She had a charm made for each of her children, grandchildren and great great-grandchildren that is an individual cameo silhouette of each of one with their birthdate engraved on. It’s like a wearable family tree.

  336. Rebecca Luke Says:

My wedding ring. Not only because it’s absolutely beautiful, but also because it’s a constant reminder to me and everyone around me that I’m taken. That I have made a commitment to someone and we are joined. I love it.

  337. meg Says:

My favorite piece of jewelery would be a plain thick silver band from my mom & dad!! They were down in Mexico and knew that I was looking for a chunky silver band so they looked high & low for something that didn’t have a design and low and behold they found it on their last day!!! Whenever I wear it I feel like no matter where I am in the world I have a little piece of them with me!!! Once I lost it when I was trying to push my friend out of the snow in Vancouver and couldn’t find it that night and went back the next day and no luck and amazingly after 2 weeks went back and there it was waiting for me!!! We were meant to be together forever!!!

  338. mary Says:

My mother’s wedding ring. She lost it while baling brush in our backyard when I was just a little thing, she was despondent and I remember helping her search for it futilely. 30 years later, my mother had passed away from Alzheimer’s and my siblings and I were readying my childhood home for sale. While trimming the grass to get ready for a showing, my sister found the ring. 30 years later. Shiny and nestled not deep in the grass. Makes you believe in angels.

    mary

  339. Tori Says:

My favorite piece is a vintage locket ring my dad gave me on my 16th birthday. It was his sister’s before she passed away. Inside he put a picture of my church’s temple where I plan to be married (when the day comes) and a another picture of a question mark. It fits perfectly on my ring finger and he told me that it’s to remind me that I’m his little girl and to stay true until i get married and when I do, I can put my husband’s face in place of the question mark. I love that ring and wear it every day.

  340. Nicky C. K. Says:

Obvious answer would be my wedding ring but next up is a vintage, limited-edition Gucci watch with a mother-of-pearl face on it that my grandmother gave me when I graduated high-school.

  341. Tracy Says:

My wedding ring. Without question. A silver posey ring. My husband proposed with it and although we looked for more traditional, fancier rings later on, I never found anything that seemed to fit as well. (Much to the dismay of my mother who couldn’t believe I didn’t want a big diamond!)

  342. Mika Says:

I still love the amethyst bracelet my husband gave me for my birthday when we were dating. He apparently felt bad for taking my “You don’t have to get anything” at face value the previous year and wanted to make up for it. Whenever I wear it I think of how excited he was to give it to me – he took me out for breakfast so it would be the first present I opened!

  343. tchrtiff Says:

Besides my engagement ring I love the necklace my hubby gave me for Mother’s Day one year–it has his name and the names of our two children on it. I wear it almost every day.

  344. Leslie Flynn Says:

Well, besides my wedding set, which is more a part of me than it is jewelry . . . I’d have to say a necklace made with a tiny vintage skeleton key! Since it’s pretty much one-of-a-kind, I get comments on it every time I wear it! It’s my go-to piece of jewelry, for certain!

  345. rebecca robison Says:

i love all things that bring me nearer to others. one of my most treasured pieces is from my husband. he picked a necklace made out of jade years before he met me in new zealand. the symbol carved out of the stone is two hearts knit together as one. once while dating, he told me that the woman of his heart would wear a necklace such as this. i never guessed at the time that woman would be me!
the gift came on the eve of our first anniversary.

  346. Kelly Woodward Says:

My favorite piece of jeweled goodness is my wedding/engagement rings. One belonged to my husband’s grandmother, and the other belonged to my grandmother. They are perfectly wonderful.

  347. Marci Moe Says:

My wedding Ring. Not because of its stunning beauty but because the simple, plain ban reminds me of where we started together. Absolutely broke but so in love that nothing else mattered.

  348. -Kendra Says:

My engagement/wedding ring. Not only is it the most beautiful thing i own it is also priceless as it has been in our family for 5 generations. What really makes it priceless is that one of those generations was my Great-Aunt, she was also my godmother. She had no daughters so she passed it to my mother who kept it hidden away till a nice boy came along and asked for my hand in marriage. It’s so nice to have with so much meaning (though it’s scary too, to think I might lose it…knock on wood) that belonged to one of the most amazing women I have ever known.

ps. a friend just sent me a link to twig and thistle for my b’day (she sent me the dress cake entry) I’m so glad she did, this site is really lovely! Thank you!

  349. debbiejl Says:

I love 1950′s rhinestone jewelry. I have a fabulous pin that I found for $14 at the thrift store. Its magical & even though I have lots of other pieces that I adore this one is my favorite.

Thank you for this generous offer! I love your blog and read it daily. I have my fingers crossed on winning! :D

    My best to you.

  350. Apri Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry I own is a necklace with the charm being made from my great and and uncle’s wedding bands, hers being inside his, to form a circle within a circle. They didn’t have any children of their own and I am so thankful this was passed down to me.

  351. C.D. Says:

The one piece I would save in case of fire – the ‘gold’ metal necklace my son ‘won’ for me in a vending machine/game outside of Wal-Mart about 10 years ago (after weeks of trying every time we shopped). He was outrageously proud. So sweet.

  352. Jennifer Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is a custom necklace that my husband designed and made made for me while we were dating. On one of our first dates, we went to Jade Cove on the Central CA Coast and scoured the rocks for the Jade that naturally washes ashore there. We found lots of pretty rocks and, after some locals gave us some advice, some actual pieces of Jade. He took the pieces to a local jeweler and had one of the larger ones set into a necklace. It was the most romantic gift I had ever been given. I was floored by the thoughtfulness of it. No wonder I married him! =)

  353. erica Says:

my favorite piece of jewelery is my sparrow necklace that i bought for myself a couple years ago. it’s teal (my favorite color) and has it’s wings stretched out, like it’s gliding. i feel great everytime i wear it, it really encourages my adventurous/curious spirit.

  354. michelle Says:

i love my classic pearls my sweet hubby gave me when my 2nd daughter was born.

  355. Tina H. Says:

When my Mom passed away, she gave me her wedding ring.

My Mom and Dad first married when they were extremely poor and lived in a garage they rented. As they climbed up the social ladder, my Dad would buy each diamond for my Mom’s ring to celebrate every success.

During tough times, my Mom wanted to ensure that us four kids didn’t feel it. She turned to the little income she had, and when that didn’t cut it, she resorted to selling each diamond kernel to pay the bills. So when I inherited it, the diamonds were replaced with cubic zirconium, because she knew it would break my Dad’s heart to think his earnings weren’t cutting it and she didn’t want us to grow up without uniforms for school each year. The ring represents her love for my Dad and us.

  356. Minna S Says:

I would day that my favorite piece of jewelry would be my diamond cross necklace because i’ve never went a day without wearing it! It weird because I feel naked without it! haha

  357. Laura L. Says:

I have two favorites, both from my grandmothers. My favorite pearls were from my mom’s mom. They are not expensive, but beautiful. Even though she died 20 years ago, (a few months before our wedding) I feel her close every time I wear them. My paternal grandma gave me a lavaliere my grandfather gave her on their wedding day. When I wear it, I think of what that day was like for my grandparents and how much love is in that piece of jewelry.

  358. nicci Says:

Its a beautiful necklace that wishes you success in life that my mother brought back from Israel that is in Hebrew.

  359. Amanda Says:

my favourite piece of jewelry right now would have to be the bright & sparkley bead bracelet my 6 year old son made for me at afterschool care. He worked so hard on it & the look on his face when he gave it to me all wrapped up was priceless.

  360. Erin W Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry would definitely be the custom-made silver necklace I wore on my wedding day. I got it off of etsy, of course. I hadn’t heard of The Vintage Pearl at the time, but I wish I had! I am really coveting some of these pieces!

  361. Jackie Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry I own is my heart jade necklace. I received this necklace on my 16th birthday from my mom. She received the necklace when she was 16 from her mother. When I have a daughter I will pass it on to her. This necklace goes with everything! I’m never without it. :)

  362. Marcia Says:

The ring that was given to me by my husband and son on the first Mother’s Day that I was a mother.

  363. Carmen Rigby Says:

I’m a sentimental fool, but my favorite piece of jewelry (besides my wedding ring of course!) is a necklace that my dad brought back from a business trip. It’s a little wooden skunk. Adorable!

  364. jamie Says:

My favorite piece is a locket pocket watch my mother gave me that was a gift from her father. It has a Fleur de Lys pin that you can attach it to, to wear it on a lapel. Very special!

  365. dawn Says:

I don’t wear much jewellry and what I do own is a fairly eclectic mix of old, new, thrifted and handmade. My favorite though is a necklace with an enamel pendant made just for me by my friend Amy. The pendant has a little snail on it. I saw it on her website and oohed and aahed over it, not knowing it was already in the mail for me.

  366. Carla Says:

My current favorite piece of jewelry is the heart pendant my mother just gave me for Valentines Day. She had been looking for quite sometime to try find one like the one that she wore. After having no luck she decided to send me hers. She keeps saying “I gave you my heart”. I of course wear it everyday and it makes me smile when I see it.

  367. Alicia Says:

My favorite piece is a tiffany bracelet that was given to me on my 21st birthday by my favorite Aunt & Uncle. It was something that I always secretly wanted but never asked for. I still wear it to this day.

  368. Kate S. Says:

I love the unique gold and yellow and natural pearl ring my dad bought me when we were traveling together in Australia. I lost it once and it made a miraculous return to me. It’s not the most valuable piece I own, but the memories and meaning it holds are irreplaceable.

  369. Mary Beth Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is my pearl necklace that I had made with pearls I bought in India. I wore it on my wedding day and still wear it for special occasions.

  370. Katy Potaty Says:

Oh, that’s such a hard question!
I love so much of my jewellery, but anything handmade is my favourite. A particular one is a silver beaten bangle with the initials of my parents in, that my grandfather made for my mother on her wedding day. Ahhhh…

  371. dare Says:

    circle of love!

  372. Jenna Love Says:

My favorite and most precious piece of jewellery is my wedding ring, cos it has my beautiful Gran’s diamond in it ( she got it from her mom), and my knight in shining armour of a husband made me the most beautiful ring with it in….Such a spoilt lady i am!!!!!

  373. em Says:

I received a mama and baby bird necklace from my husband for my first mother’s day. :) I would wear it every day if I could.

    This is it.

  374. jan miller Says:

My husband gave me a bracelet with 6 charms on it for my birthday this year. On each charm is the name of each of our grandchildren and their birthdate. I will be adding another one this year for our new grandchild. I love those grandchildren. Would so love the gift certificate to find something new.
    Thanks so much, Jan

  375. Danyette Says:

    What a great contest!!

My favorite piece of jewelry is a set of pearls my grandmother gave to me a few years ago. They mean the world to me. Due to health reasons and travel restrictions she is unable to attend my wedding so I will be wearing her pearls to honor her at my wedding. After we say I Do we will be taking a short trip to see her and bring our wedding attire to have pictures taken with her. I know she is going to love it and has no idea that I will be wearing the pearls :)

Thank you so much for this opportunity.

  376. Marenq Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry would be the necklace I wore for my wedding. It has earrings to match. It was the first piece of jewelry that my husband bought me (at the time fiancee). I feel like a goddess when I wear it. I love the vintage pearl! I love love love there style.

  377. Niki Marusich Says:

My favourite HAS to be my handmade sleeping baby dragon ring that I picked up at a market in Johannesburg. Its pewter and absolutely gorgeous!

  378. Ses Says:

My favourite piece is a silver ring that’s over 30 years old. When my parents were dating, they went to visit an eco-community in Wales, and my Dad bought my Mum a simple, hexangonal silver ring from the silversmiths working there. She wore it for a few years, and then it lived in a box for many more. When I was 16 she gave it to me and I’ve worn it every day since. It reminds me of how much I love them :)

  379. Amy M. Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is the band my husband bought me for our first anniversary. He gave me the most amazing ring for our wedding, but it began to be impractical to wear every day. So, I save it for special occasions and turned to wearing the band. It’s simple and perfect…and I haven’t been able to wear it for a couple of years ever since I got pregnant, had the sweetest little baby EVER, and haven’t been able to get it on my finger since. I’m striving to wear it again…so it represents sweet times past, sweet times today, and hopefully a more fit me in the future! :)

  380. Carla Says:

I love jewelry. My gramps is a jeweler so I have lots of great pieces I hold dear b/c they’re from him. My favorite, by a landslide, is my charm bracelet he gave me. Every year since I was one, my grandpa would give me a number charm for my age. So for one I got a one, two a two and so on. It hasn’t been added to in years (since I was 23 to be precise) but the tradition continues as he gives my daughters, his great-granddaughteres, a charme each year on their birthdays. There’s nothing like the sound of that charm bracelet on my wrist. <3 it =)

  381. lyn Says:

I just got engaged so I have to say my favorite piece is my engagement ring. It is a vintage art deco ring. I love it.

  382. Kim R. Says:

Favorite piece is a long cord with a rock and fish on it that a friend picked up while traveling in Israel. She got it from a local artisan on the Sea of Galilee. It is extra special because of where it is from and because the friend thought of me and brought it back all that way.

  383. Rhonda Says:

My favorite jewelry would probably be a simple silver hammered ring I got on a devastating trip to Mexico. So many things went wrong on that trip, but for some reason this ring warms my heart and my memories.

  384. Madison Dunaway Says:

When a dear friend and I were both pregnant for our first child she gave me a beautiful fresh water pearl necklace with a tiny silver dot inlay to represent mother and baby. It is so simple and lovely and I cherish it and all the memories of our growing bellies and now our growing children. I hope to pass it to my daughter someday!

  385. Elizabeth Says:

My favorite piece is a necklace I found in my grandmother’s jewelry box after she passed away. It’s very vintage: Just a few floral glass beads on a long gold cord. It isn’t the sort of thing that anyone else in the family even looked twice at. It wasn’t like the “good stuff” that had to divided up. But my grandmother was very fashion forward and it is special to me so I started wearing it. And what do you know, Everyone loves it. I get so many compliments!

  386. Duskwind Farm Says:

    My wedding ring:)

  387. Lizzie Says:

My favorite piece of jewelery is one that I’ve just recently misplaced. I’d like to think it was my favorite beforehand, and its not just it’s absence that glorifies this piece in my mind. It is a tiny, gold sliver of a thumb ring that I’ve been wearing for the past three years. I rarely take it off. I found it in an small boutique in San Francisco (not that it’s origin makes any sort of difference). I purchased it for myself because I WANTED it. It was one of those moments where I just had to have it. I couldn’t have left that shop without it on my thumb. It isn’t one of those pieces of jewelery that people notice very often; it’s just that slight. But when someone does make note of it, I know they are really, really looking at me.

  388. Dottie Says:

I think my favorite piece of jewelry right now is a simple chain with a silver piece that has the word “leap” written on it as a reminder to get out there and just do it! Be fearless and LEAP for your dreams!

  389. Sarah O Says:

My engagement ring and wedding band from my husband are my favorite pieces that I wear every single day. I still love looking at them, and I cherish what they represent.

  390. summer Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is a necklace that was my grandmother’s. It is a old gold locket that has three sections for 3 pictures. I found it after she died and we were cleaning out her things. She had tons of costume jewelry necklaces to go through. When I got to this one I picked it up and opened up all 3 doors and each were empty until I got to the third door where there was only a picture of me!
Now she had 8 grandchildren so this made me feel extremely special. And now I wear it, especially on days when I’m not feeling so good about myself. It makes me feel so very special, it’s my power necklace.

  391. Shanelle Says:

It’s nothing special, it’s just a simple necklace that my husband got me for Christmas. What makes it mean so much is that I had pointed it out to him over half a year ago, kind of nonchalantly. Being someone who rarely remembers what he ate for lunch, I assumed he forgot about it. When I unwrapped it on Christmas, I could’ve cried.

  392. margaret Says:

it’s by far my little silver ring with my son’s monogram; it was given to me by my husband for my first mother’s day.

  393. katrina taylor Says:

My mom got me a simple silver necklace when I had my first baby 9 months ago. It is a small circle with my daughters name, i love it and wear it every day, it will always be very dear to me

  394. lis Says:

My favorite piece is my right hand ring from my husband. I LOVE the vintage pearl. hoping that come march 8th i have something from her site. happy 29th!

  395. PeggiS Says:

A pendent made from a small glass watch case full of tiny rough polished garnets. My mom dug and polished the garnets and made the necklace. It is beautiful, simple, and full of love.

  396. Allison Says:

A necklace that my mom gave me on my wedding day. She also gave the same one to my mother-in-law, step-mother, and bought one for herself. It is a small circle of diamonds, that symbolizes how our families were all united that day.

  397. Breeanna M. Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry that I’m soo happy to own is my necklace that my boyfriend bought be in the very early stages of our relationship. I still wear it. I love “The Vintage Pearl” site… the products are great! I love the the baby spoon! These products are extremely unique!!!

  398. Gloria S Says:

My pearl earrings that I bargained for at the Pearl Market in Beijing, China!

  399. denise @ little ant design Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is 4 circle punched pieces of cardstock with my 4 children’s faces modge podged on them tied to brown leather cording. By far my most priceless necklace.

  400. Megan Dunford Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is my cameo pin from my grandmother – it has a hook to hang it from a necklace or a pin so I can wear it as a brooch. It is beautiful!

  401. allison Says:

my favorite piece of jewelry is a locket my grandfather gave to my grandmother when they were dating.

  402. Sophie Says:

I am very tactile but also very sentimental. Everyday I wear a silver band that has raised braille letters. Only I and the person who owns the same ring know what it says, and I love to run my thumb over the bumps during the day, for comfort or a reminder of the other’s love.

  403. Julie R Says:

oh I love love love their necklaces.

  404. Amanda Says:

I love beautiful jewelry, but I never thought I would love my wedding rings most of all! Something about them being a gift, being surprised with them, and not buying it for myself. It’s more special than the rest of my pieces…and I would be happy to wear only them forever.

  405. Lori Says:

I inherited a beautiful necklace from each of my grandmothers, so i would have to say those would tie for my favorite!

  406. cindy barriga Says:

My grandma gave me a pair of pearls years ago and since then I have worn them constantly. They will always be a favorite of mine. I feel special wearing them.

  407. Kate L. Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is the single pearl I wear on an earring – I found the pearl hidden in the crack of a display case of giant insects in a tiny museum while my fiancee (though he was just boyfriend back then) and I were hiking in Malaysian Borneo. We had been dirty and gross for so long, but surrounded by the natural beauty of the rainforest, and finding this one pearl was a wonderful extension of that. Plus my fiancee prides himself on being able to find small things (he says it’s his mundane superpower), so he was happy to help me extract the pearl from the crack with his pocketknife.

  408. Anna Says:

The piece I love best is my grandmother’s wedding ring. Dainty and lovely with a cluster of diamonds. I wear it as a right-hand ring when I’m feeling brave (:

  409. Erin R. Says:

Wow, I love this jewelry. Well, besides my wedding ring, my favorite piece of jewelry is the pair of earrings that my in-laws had custom made for me with pearls from my husband’s grandmother’s pearl necklace. Yes, I’m a sentimental sort of gal.

  410. forget.me.knot.weddings Says:

I can still remember the exact moment of where I was out when my Mom and Donna (my step-mom) gave me my college graduation present.
The present was my Mom’s wedding ring from my Dad she wore while they were married. My Mom and Donna had the stone re-set in a silver band for my college graduation present! I remember the feeling I had and now every time I look at the ring I think of both of my families. =)

  411. Robin Says:

Aw, the Dainty Names for my dainty dachshunds would be so cute! I’ve been looking around for a necklace that I can add their names onto and that is perfect!

  412. maria Says:

    wedding band…for what it means

  413. evon Says:

my clown pin made of sterling silver, texturized with studs, and moveable appendages! i finally made use of it recently by attaching a chain to make it into a long chain necklace, but unfortunately, the head piece broke off, and now i have to get it fixed correctly so it will still moveable. i’m a bit skeptical about some jewelery stores’ craftsmanship nowadays though…

  414. noodle Says:

Sadly, I don’t have any REAL jewellery. Loads of costume jewellery and beads, but nothing that I would cherish forever… Me thinks its time!

  415. Samantha Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is a heart necklace with a tiny diamond in the middle that I got from my boyfriend for Christmas. He previously got me a necklace but it was stolen when my house robbed. He felt bad that I lost it and I was very upset about it so he bought me a necklace that was even better than the original. But it was the greatest Christmas present.

  416. Kim Says:

hmmm my favorite piece of jewelry that I own would have to be a wrap around beaded necklace that I made and have found so many uses for it. I also made myself a matching bracelet.

  417. Caroline Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is without a doubt my engagement ring. It is a old mine cut diamond ring from the 1920s. It was given to my grandfather in the 1950s as payment for his work (he was a banker). The widow who gave it to him said it was fair payment for taking such good care of her and her finances once her husband passed. My grandfather gave the ring to my grandmother who never had an engagement ring because they were married during the Great Depression. I have always loved the ring and would ask her to let me try it on as a little girl. She passed away in early 2007 and I never had the courage to ask my mother what happened to the ring. I met my fiance in late 2007. When we were ready to be engaged he would ask me what kind of ring I would like. I always said I wanted my grandmother’s ring, but I didn’t know where it was. When he promosed in June 2009 he gave me my grandmother’s ring! My mother had saved it for me! It will always be my favorite piece of jewelry because of its history, beauty, and family meaning.

  418. Lori Says:

My favorite pieces are those of my Grandmothers. Currently my Mom is wearing her wedding ring and I love to see jewelry passed down and enjoyed from generation to generation. Reminds me of my Grandma every time I see a sparkly broach. I love the idea of making them into a wedding bouquet that I’ve seen before online.

    These pieces are just lovely!

  419. Brunette Says:

oh, the pearls that my grandmother received from her when she graduated from college and gave to me at my college graduation. AMAZING!

  420. Brunette Says:

*from her favorite aunt and uncle

…oops! I got too excited to edit!

  421. Lana Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is a pair of earrings that belonged to my mom who passed away a few years ago. They are little cameos, ivory and coral in color. They aren’t expensive, probably came from a discount store in the 50s or 60s, but she loved them, and they mean the world to me because I think of her each time I touch them.

  422. kathleen Says:

Omgosh I love the necklaces. I really enjoy your blog.

  423. Aimee Says:

I have some fat brown beaded sparkly earring hoops that I completely adore but don’t match anything so they hang on my dresser and I admire them and imagine the playdate that they’d be appropriate for…

  424. Chelsie Says:

I know it sounds cheesy, but my favorite piece of jewelry is my engagement ring. It’s absolutely perfect!

  425. Jennifer D. Says:

This one comes easily to me: Ask me prior to 2/14/10 and I would have said my pearl stud earrings given to me by a dear friend when I was a bridesmaid in her wedding (pearl studs are great – they go with everything!) but now I must say the silver locket that was given to me by my boyfriend on Valentine’s Day of this year. He wanted me to choose which pictures to put inside so he left it empty. I decided on a pic of my dog. And oh yeah, a picture of him on the other side… ;-)

  426. Brooke Says:

    My Tiffany silver bead necklace.

  427. Vidya Says:

My favorite piece is a pair of earrings I bought for myself for just $3.50 at a thrift store. A small pearl dangling from a oxidized silver ring. I love it, it pairs very well with my business and my casual clothes.

  428. Nicole H Says:

In high school, my then boyfriend gave me a plain sterling silver band with an inscription and a note. The inscription reads “Don’t Forget”. The note was simple and sweet–a list of things he never wanted me to forget, whether we remained a couple or not. I’ve lost the note, but haven’t forgotten the list: “don’t forget– you’re absolutely beautiful, you always deserve and should demand respect, that I (meaning my boyfriend) will always there when you need me, and that you’re a daughter of God.” The ring has become battered and scratched over the years. But I haven’t lost it, nor forgotten the list it represents. I now wear it with my wedding ring, given to me by the very same boy, years ago. I can’t imagine ever being without it.

  429. Natasha Says:

it’s not original but it’s the truth: my wedding ring.

  430. Shannon Says:

my wedding and engagement rings of course! x

  431. Heidi Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is a ring that belonged to my Grandmother. It has a large turquoise stone set in a silver band, and is the perfect blend of modern-vintage!

  432. Amanda Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry was given to me by my mom last year and used to belong to my great grandma. It’s a beautiful watch made with rose gold (all of our middle names are Rose) and it’s so delicate and stunning. Really unique and I love the history behind it.

  433. Beth Says:

My mom ended up in the hospital this past Thanksgiving due to advanced liver failure. Having had a difficult and partially estranged relationship with her the better part of my childhood and adult life, I flew home to be with her right before Christmas, not knowing what to expect. Her thoughts weren’t always cohesive and she has very little to give in terms of possessions, but a visiting nurse had given her a stack of cheap clear plastic bracelets, filled with water and glitter. One afternoon as I was sitting by her bed, she reached over to the stack of bangles and drew one out to hand to me. It was clear and pink and cheap and tacky, but the black lettering on it was clear-”best friends”.
My mom didn’t have much to give, but doing the best with what she had, she gave me hope for a relationship during whatever time she had left.
I wear that cheap plastic bracelet everyday-the black lettering has worn off, but the meaning behind the gesture hasn’t.

  434. Ellen Manolis Says:

My great grandmother’s engagement ring. My great-great grandfather (her father-in-law) made it for her and she is my namesake… so it means a lot to me.

  435. Elle Says:

I love fabulously different jewelry that makes a statement, but the one piece I cherish the most is the teeniest, most “blah” piece I own. My grandmother gave me this tiny silver cross with a diamond in the middle of it a few months before she passed away. It’s on a simple gold chain, and I never actually wear it, but I wouldn’t ever think of getting rid of it!

  436. Jenny D. Says:

My Family Nest Necklace — I love it!

  437. Shelby Says:

my favorite piece of jewelry is a small gold pendant worn on a long gold chain. my husband gave it to me the first christmas after we were married. he had it engraved with my new initials. it’s so pretty and simple and i feel love when i wear it. i hope to pass it down to a someday daughter. :)

  438. Ruth Says:

During an unforgettable trip to Israel I browsed a jewelry store in hopes of finding something special. What I found was a beautiful gold ring with 12 single opals in it. I did not realize a piece of jewelry could evoke such emotion, but this ring truly represents to me all that I experienced and learnt during this amazing trip!

  439. MissJillian Says:

a pair of cz earrings in just the right size and shape that they go with everything…that’s why i wear them pretty much every day.

  440. Jennifer O. Says:

My favorite piece is a simple necklace my mother gave me when I graduated from high school, the same necklace my mother had been given when she graduated from high school. It is a tiny carved ivory rose on a short silver chain, presented to me in its original avocado green and gold covered case.

I love the simplicity of the necklace, its classic design, the way the charm hits in the hollow between my collarbones. But more than that, I love imagining the look on my mother’s face when she flipped open the case for the first time. I picture her mother helping her fasten the tricky clasp in back and my mom, 18 and hopeful, fussing with her long hair–the bouncing curls the result of sleeping with grape-juice can rollers.

  441. Amy Chermela Says:

The obvious answer: my engagement ring.

The real answer: my grandmother’s baby ring. It actually fits my ring finger. It beautiful, delicate gold with a teeny tiny diamond chip.

  442. Amber Says:

I have fun wearing a lot of different statement costume necklaces, but my favorite piece of jewelry is my bead hoop earings from Bebe. They always take my outfit up a notch.

  443. Brianne Says:

My favourite peice if a bracelet my spouse gave me for my last birthday. It is handmade and has little messages handstamped onto it.
I love this giveaway because it reminds me of that bracelet!

  444. Teresa Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry are my diamond earrings. I kept waiting and waiting for someone else to give them to me, but then I just decided to buy them for myself. While that may sound selfish, I saw it as an act of independence!

  445. Rory Says:

    Ahh there work is incredible!

  446. Jen Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is the cross my mother gave me for my confirmation when I was 16 years old. It was the first piece of jewelry she bought herself when she immigrated to the United States. It’s white gold and is such a beautiful and simple piece that I wear with every outfit.

  447. Monica Says:

My favorite piece of jewelery would have to be a golden locket that my grandmother gave me when I was about 8 years old. A jeweler had given it to her in a bundle of necklaces that were all tangled together, and we spent an afternoon untangling. It was perfect for me because it has a “M” on the front. Inside, I’ve placed a picture of me, my sister, and 2 friends when we were little. We’re all dressed up like our American Girl dolls (holding them of course). The whole thing just reminds me of those days. The locket is on a long chain, and I wear it most every time I go out!

  448. Amber Says:

My wedding ring, of course! A would love to have my children’s names right next to my heart!

  449. Ann Says:

i have some earring made from the handles of spoons. love them!

  450. Jesselyn Says:

Besides my engagement ring? I guess my string of pearls my best friend gave me after she saw me eyeing hers. She gave me a beautiful pearl necklace she strung and knotted herself. Every Dallas girl’s staple.

  451. LisaT Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is a gold/amethyst ring my husband made for me. At the time he made it, he was putting himself through college working as a goldsmith. I know how tight money was them, he had to save for months to buy the materials. It also happens to be the first piece of precious metal jewelry I ever owned. Since then he’s given me other beutiful pieces but that ring has always remained my sentimental favorite.

  452. Terri M Says:

My most favorite pieces of jewelry are centimental. The first is a REALLY cheap necklace my daughter gave me from the Santa Store House from school. It broke after the first few wearinbgs but it is something I will treasure. My daugter has a serious illness that was diagnosed four years ago. She is still with us. It reminds me of her GREAT faith and positive attitude and that she is a rock. :) The other is a necklace that my little sister gave me. She is one of the most selfless people I know. :) Thanks for the chance. :)

  453. Jennie Wilson Says:

My fave piece of jewelry is a charm bracelet that my mother gave to me. I would love to have a Vintage Pearl Bracelet with the name of my lovely little dog who passed away last Tuesday. It would be the perfect way to commenderate her life and our 13 years together.
Thank you for the lovely opportunity.

  454. Allison L Says:

My favourite piece of jewelery is a single pearl necklace. My mother, sister and I each have one. Its simple and delicate like the designs at vintage pearl. My fingers are crossed! A girl can dream…can’t she?!

  455. Jennifer Says:

My absolute favourite pieces of jewelry are my pearl earrings my husband gave me. He, for the only time I can remember, shopped in advance of a holiday and hid them in a secret spot in the basement. We had an argument one day and I asked him to leave and give me space for a an hour or so. When I get angry I clean- and I usually pick some obscure area that I haven’t touched for a while like a utensil drawer or linen closet but this time I went straight to that nagging corner of the basement and found these earrings. They are my favourite because when I wear them they make me feel the way I think I should always feel- Classy, Confident and Loved

  456. mari Says:

A simple silver Tiffany key necklace on a silver ball chain. It was a gift from my parents, who bought one for each of the girls (Mom, my sister, and me) to commemorate their visit last summer.

  457. Melissa Says:

When I got my Master’s degree, my dad took me to a local Arts Festival to get a piece of jewelry to commemorate the occasion, since he knew how much I love handcrafted jewelry. I ended up finding this lovely silver ring with an adorable, tiny snail carved into it. The lady who made it said that it was inspired by her niece’s love of snails. I completely treasure this ring, because of the story behind it and the adventure my dad and I had in finding it!

  458. MGates Says:

My favourite piece of jewelery is a pretty new addition to my collection. I got it on December 23rd when my Boyfriend who I have been dating since the age of 15 proposed to me! It is a flower with 6 diamonds surrounding a pink sapphire. It is a really special ring, just like my fiance. I am so excited to spend the rest of my life with the love of my life!

  459. Alida Says:

My favourite piece of jewelry is a necklace with a white gold and diamond pendant my wife-to-be bought for me 4 years ago. It might seem just an elegant spiky pendant, but if you look more attentively you can recognize our first names outlined initials (A and L) embraced.
    Just love it!!!

  460. Adeline Says:

I have this spunky pink and purple alternating chain necklace i got from a Japanese Boutique. I wear it when i want to feel a little bit brighter than usual. And it works! :]
    Great giveaway

  461. amy Says:

    hi :)
my favourite piece of jewelry is a pair of pearl earrings that my sister and I received from my parents. It is special to me because my family decided to take a trip to Disneyworld and there was this stand that you could crack open oysters and find a pearl inside. We had so much fun trying to guess how big or what colour each pearl would be. It was so exciting and unbelievable at the same time, that something so simple and beautiful could come from something that you would not necessarily look twice at. Life Lesson, indeed. So i would love to have a simple and classic pearl and charm necklace to go with my favourite pair of earrings.
thank your for such a great giveaway!!

  462. mger Says:

my current fav piece of jewelry is a little blue resin necklace with flowers set in the resin. love it.

  463. Hillary Says:

I’m all about the cheap fun jewelry. I have so much great jewelry (the fun type) that it would be hard to decide what my favorite is. Currently probably a super fun pair of earrings my MIL got me for my bday. They’re black metal flowers – chunky & awesome!

  464. Marilyn K K Says:

I don’t think I own a piece of jewelry that doesn’t have some significance. . For 37 years my wedding ring has circled my heart. The Michael Michaud silver pea, with four pearls, one for each of my children, was their gift to me on Mother’s Day. My father’s “add a diamond necklace” given to each of his 5 daughters and wife keeps his memory alive. Silver and malachite ring and bracelet, bought in Mexico on a last minute week in the sun with girlfriends makes me smile. When I wear mine, I feel wrapped in love or memories

  465. Leora Sanford Says:

Thanks so much for the chance to win!! What a fabulous giveaway!! I have a necklace that my husband gave me for my Bday a year ago. It means a lot to me because it was a thought out gift from him…something that he does almost every year for me Bday. It was made by an Etsy designer that I adore, so the fact that he got it from her was just icing on the cake!!

  466. Erika Says:

Hmmmm…. not particularly original, but my favorite, HANDS DOWN, is my turn-of-the-century wedding ring set. It has been in my husbands family for around 100 years and I am thrilled to be the lucky gal that gets to wear it.

Hope I’m one of the lucky winners, Vintage Pearl has so many gorgeous pieces! (and I owe an old friend a baby gift – I’m thinking one of the customized spoons would fit the bill perfectly!)

  467. Megan Says:

My favorite necklace is my ex-husband’s dead grandmother’s necklace that was in the trash during the final clean-out of her house! It’s nothing fancy, but it’s old and cool and I always get complimented when I wear it. I love it when someone asks, “Where did you get your necklace?” It’s quite a story!

  468. Jacinta Says:

I hate to be predictable, but have to say my wedding ring from my husband. I literally look at it at least once a day and it reminds me of how far we’ve come. It’s not the biggest or fanciest, but 9 years ago when he proposed I know how much he must have scraped and save to even buy me a ring. It’s what it represents, a promise of love and being there for each other forever. And with two very active boys, there’s no way we can do it without one another!

  469. Jaki Says:

I love jewellery, but do not wear many pieces. One piece I have not taken off since Christmas ’09 is a set of plastic beads on nylon string that say “Mum love Bill xx”. Everytime I look at them I see my then 6 year old threading them, trying to hide them from me, with that tongue-sticking-out-intense-concentration that young boys get. Bill died a week after Christmas, and I can’t imagine I’ll ever take this off. Maudlin, I know, but every memory is precious. I’d love to have something in silver with his name on it to wear proudly with them.

  470. Raechele Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is my great grandmothers wedding band that was engraved with her and my great grandfathers name, and the date that they married. It is pure gold, and was so blessed to be given this irreplaceable family heirloom. It shows me how sentimental my Great Grandfather was and how much he admired his beautiful bride.

    Thank you for this opportunity!

  471. Keri Says:

my favorite piece of jewelry is a ring that my mother gave me for christmas this past year – it has three diamonds in it, from four generations of the family: one was given to me by my godmother at my christening, the next is from my grandmother’s engagement ring, which then became my mother’s engagement ring, and the last is from my great-grandmother from poland, it was one of the few things she brought when they immigrated to america.

my mom took all three diamonds to a little old italian man who has been hand making jewelry for over 50 years to set the three together, in an amazing setting he designed…it is so special to me!

  472. Amanda Says:

My new favorite piece of jewelry (and I say new because I JUST got it) is my wedding band. My parents came up with a great idea of taking old gold jewelry from both of my late grandmothers, my parents (including my dad’s original wedding band) and my baby jewelry and having it melted down, purified to white gold and made into my both of our wedding bands. To top it off, when my fiance’s parents heard about it, they sent us their gold class rings, his father’s original wedding band and gold from his grandmothers to be added to our bands. My parents have been married for 44 years and my fiance’s have been married for 33 years, so we figure our wedding bands will bring us good luck! :)

  473. Michele Says:

I just found your site via DesignMom. I have to say….you’ve just found a new follower! Gorgeous stuff, and great ideas I love these necklaces, and would love to give one to my great neighbor who is expecting any day now (or keep if for myself…arghh…decisions!).

  474. Michele Says:

I just found your site via DesignMom. I have to say….you’ve just found a new follower! Gorgeous stuff, and great ideas I love these necklaces, and would love to give one to my great neighbor who is expecting any day now (or keep if for myself…arghh…decisions!). I actually have 2 favorite pieces of jewelry that are the same. I wear two simple white gold bands on my right hand ring finger. The insides are engraved with each of my daughter’s names and birthdays. The intention is that I will give them their respective ring when they turn 18.

  475. Cass Says:

Crossing my fingers! I’ve been wanting one of their necklaces for a while now.

  476. amber Says:

I am barely making it! I love my wedding ring. It’s flat and easy to wear everyday and it has a vintage quality. Plus, it’s a symbol of my life as a wife and mother.

  477. Lindsey Says:

I know it is not super original but my wedding band is my favorite piece of jewelry solely for what it symbolizes. It also doesn’t hurt that I know how hard my hubby tried (and succeeded)to give me exactly what I would love and want. Second favorite my pearl earrings he gave me on our wedding day…I have worn them almost every day since.

  478. Paola Says:

I’d have to say my new favorite piece of jewelery is the lovely repurposed vintage brass locket my husband gave me for our second wedding anniversary this past weekend!

  479. Chrystal K. Says:

My favorite jewelry comes down to a tie between my husbands wedding ring that my grandmother gave him after grandpa passed on and the “something old” necklace she gave me. His band in gold with 3 Northstars etched into it. My necklace is a gold scroll with a white rose in the center and pearls scattered around the scroll work.

  480. Carla Says:

I have just a few pieces of jewelry, and each one with it’s own meaning. But one has a very special place in my heart because the way it was given to me. After years of financial issues, my husband got a job opportunity in USA, and our life has changed. It was almost a miracle. On the night before my first birthday living here, I went to bed and he was already sleeping. On my pillow was the box, and the notebook opened on a social media page, on my profile, where he left a lot of lovely words and poems about how much he loves me… it was message after message….I was touched because he never did something like that, not even just for me. Opening his heart to the “world” was very emotional. And now, every time I put on my little silver heart from Tiffany, I remember the overwhelming(happy)feeling of that night.

  481. Lori Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is a seaglass necklace made from the most gorgeous turquoise piece of seaglass. I found the glass washed up on the beach in Barcelona, Spain, when I visited in 2007 and had it turned into a necklace upon my return to the states. Wearing it reminds me of my travels and keeps me in touch with my adventurous spirit!

  482. Melissa Says:

Gorgeous! These would be such pretty mother’s day gifts!

  483. LeAnne Says:

My favourite piece of jewelry is my engagement ring!

  484. Hannah Says:

MY favorite piece of jewelry (currently) is a silver ring I bought while in Morocco. I bought it in a tiny town from a little shop. I obviously like the way it looks, but it also reminds me of that time of my life. It definitely has sntimental value!

  485. Cheryl Says:

A tiny little lamb!! When I was first adopted at the age of 3 months a dear friend of my parents gave me a tiny little bracelet with a tiny little lamb on it…it’s my very favorite piece of jewlery. Over the years I’ve put it onto various chains. I’ve never seen anything like it ever, and being a knitter I really love it. But most of all it always reminds me that my birth mother is somewhere out there and is the most wonderful woman in the world for giving me life!! (Love you mom!)

  486. Kelly Strine Says:

When I found out I was having a baby girl I was delighted. I found a sterling silver “nest” ring on etsy that has three pearls in it, symbolizing our family of three. I had to have it! We decorated her nursery in a bird theme as well.

  487. Jennifer Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry is my (not so real) diamond earings! They add such a simple elegance to any outfit. How I would love to finally have a nice real pair! Is 2 carats too much to ask?? hehe

  488. Inha Says:

my engagement ring! I never knew I had a thing for diamonds until I got one-I still marvel at it! Bring on the bling!
thanks for the chance :) lovely stuff

  489. Kari Says:

My pearl ring that my husband bought for me while on our honeymoon. It is extra special because I got to pick the oyster that the pearl was created in!! It is a humble beginning for a pearl: a small piece of sand or irritant that the oyster turns into a beautiful iridescent gem! Inspirational.

  490. erin Says:

My husband picked out the most beautiful Alex Sepkus engagement ring with a blue sapphire. It has the most delicate details.

  491. Jessica Says:

My favorite piece of jewelry that I own is a ring with my son’s names on tit. My husband bought it for me for Christmas a few years ago. There’s nothing like looking down on my finger and seeing my son’s names!!!!

  492. Kelly Says:

My simple silver bracelet that my husband gave me 15 years ago for my birthday and I have been wearing every moment since!
