Tour de Chalk
July 14th, 2009Yesterday’s Tread Art reminded a good friend of the chalk messages that the Livestrong campaign has launched during the Tour de France. I hadn’t seen this before so I was incredibly excited to get the tip, thanks Tara!
The Lance Armstrong campaign, which provides support and assistance to cancer patients, has teamed up with Nike to create the Chalkbot. The robot will paint personalized text messages in yellow chalk along the route of the Tour de France. You can submit your own inspirational message by texting “LIVESTRONG,” followed by your message, to 36453, or by visiting the official site. One of the sweetest things I’ve seen in a while and wish I could be there to see it for myself!

pablo’s story is very inspirational…i’ve been following his dad’s blog for a few months (his dad is a friend of my partner). pablo is also going to appear in a LIVESTRONG commercial coming up!

Thank you so much for sharing that Christina, so touching. It’s not everyday that someone can honor a loved one like that and it is so inspiring. I’m going to be on a lookout for that commercial and I can’t wait to see it. Thank you again for sharing! xoxo
