Gemma Correll is a freelance illustrator, based in Norwich, UK and is the author of these creative travel journal entries. Viewing her collection on Flickr is like taking a trip through her charming stream of consciousness. Gemma’s whimsical illustration style and cheeky sense of humor will make you want to see each and every detail. Can’t get enough? Check out more of Gemma’s work on Flickr or on her blog here.

I hope you all have a fantastic weekend and hopefully do a bit of traveling yourself! My in-laws are coming to visit and the weather looks like it’s going to be fantastic here in Seattle. Shaping up to be a great weekend indeed!

Especially when they’re stored in the most adorable bags ever! An alternative to all those plastic bags and much better looking, these reusable veggie bags by Wonder Thunder are the perfect solution.

The best part, they weigh practically nothing so you can take them to the grocery store or farmer’s market and they won’t affect the scale! I’m thinking a set of these with a can of  Rebel Green would make one dandy little gift for a friend or treat to yourself.

Yesterday’s Tread Art reminded a good friend of the chalk messages that the Livestrong campaign has launched during the Tour de France. I hadn’t seen this before so I was incredibly excited to get the tip, thanks Tara!

The Lance Armstrong campaign, which provides support and assistance to cancer patients, has teamed up with Nike to create the Chalkbot. The robot will paint personalized text messages in  yellow chalk along the route of the Tour de France. You can submit your own inspirational message by texting “LIVESTRONG,” followed by your message, to 36453, or by visiting the official site. One of the sweetest things I’ve seen in a while and wish I could be there to see it for myself!

Tred-Art_

I ran across these Betsabeé carved tires over at Design Llama and just had to post about them. I’m a total sucker for repurposed objects and these definitly fit the bill. These old tires get a new lease on life as art and prints.
