just so you know i tried purchasing the deer head from modern dose, never recieved it nor did i get a response to my email and when you call they dont answer and the voicemail box is full. you might want to stop plugging them. LOVE your site though, fabulous!

I’m new to your blog, too, and this looks like the perfect chance to leave a note and thank you for your interesting articles (and the tools page, love that one!). Here in Germany, the “deer bust and antlers” wave has washed over us already – you still see them in home decor mail-order catalogues and such but the “design community” seem to be done with them at this point. I must say I still rather like the simple shapes and the mix of cuteness and morbidity, but there were just so.many.deers. around.

it might be all the rage now, but i love the organic element behind antlers, trees, foliage or any other natural components. with all the simplistic and stark geometric shapes going on in architecture at the moment (at least in switzerland it’s all about minimalism, concrete and glass) these features create a beautiful – and warm & welcoming- combination.
