Illustrated Invite

Check out this lovely illustrated wedding invitation and suite! I just love the hand drawn feel and the personalized feeling it invokes. A friend of mine sent me a link to Anna Melcon Bond’s Flickr page (thanks Joseph!) and I instantly fell in love with her work.

I did a little poking around and discovered that this invitation was from Anna’s own wedding. I found some charming shots from her celebration that were too great to pass up. How great is that cake?!

    I love how colorful everything is… not bright, but blooming like a garden in Springtime. Of course I noticed the postage first! I was just using that plate of florals and the owls to make greeting cards last week. And who is that on the invite envelope… Greta Garbo and Truman? So inspiring to see such attention to detail!

    *Love* Where was Anna when I was planning my wedding?? I love the handcrafted, personal feel of the invite set, and I am swooning over that cake from her wedding! Thank you for sharing this, I will be passing it along to my engaged sister-in-law – or maybe I can use for a re-commitment ceremony? ;)
