Happy New Year… again
January 30th, 2009In honor of the Chinese New Year this week I wanted to share some pics of a student project I did way back when (2000-ish). Looking at it now I can see some major mistakes and cringe worthy typography blunders but I still think it was a good project. It was a fun experience for me because I was able to use my design and craft skills together. It was to be an invitation to a lunar calendar exhibit celebrating the Chinese New Year at the Cooper-Hewitt Design Museum in NY.

Ahh, to be a student, it’s funny to look back and see what I did. Glad to be through with school and on to new adventures!

I think it’s great, too! Really like the laser-cut part and don’t see any typography blunders. We artists/designers can be so critical of ourselves. I struggle with it anyway.
